Services
STEPS Home Care offers a continuum of Concierge services that vary according to the level of care and the amount of time you need a Caregiver on a weekly basis. Our care ranges from Companion Care to more complicated Skilled Nursing. So, as the situation changes over time, we can revise the Plan of Care to evolve along with it.
If so, and you are a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN), we'd love to talk to you about joining the STEPS family. You are not alone. STEPS is a female, family owned company. Our Care Coordination team and HR Department are here for you. You will be part of a warm and caring culture, where the health of our patients AND the happiness of our employees are both important.
We accept private payment, Long Term Care Insurance, Disability, Workers Compensation, and some managed care programs. Every 2 weeks, we will mail and/or email you an invoice for services rendered. We can work with you to determine the best way for you to pay for your home care services. We can also coordinate a combination of Hospice, Medicare, and private pay if necessary.
Absolutely not unless the assessment is done concurrently with the start of service in urgent situations. No paperwork is due until the start of service. Emergency Preparedness is also reviewed with our Caregivers as part of their annual mandatory training. The procedure is to first call 911, and then call our RN Director and/or Care Coordination team.
The first step is our free in home Assessment with a RN and a company executive. We evaluate your loved one's physical and cognitive needs, and discuss what type of personality you would like in a Caregiver to help create the Right Fit. Then we will create a customized Plan of Care that is certified by your physician.

Shan and his staff at STEPS have far exceeded my expectations. From assistance with insurance details to billing and scheduling questions, every staff member has been extremely courteous and helpful. My mother's caregiver, Virginia, is exceptional. She is kind and attentive and my mother looks forward to her weekly visits. This is a professional homecare agency that feels more like trusted family and friends. I can't thank them enough for their support and genuine caring. We are so fortunate to have them in our lives.

I would highly recommend STEPS to families looking for quality, personalized care. For the past two years STEPS helped provide day and night home care as needed for my dad. From the start, they met with us personally and were interested in making the best matches with aides. Many of their aides drive, which is important if you don't live near public transportation. At one point, my dad needed specific, ongoing in-home medical care on his release from the hospital. I was in dire need of resources. After two months of hospitals and rehab facilities to help mom walk again she settled into an assisted living facility. We engaged Steps Home Care to provide aides to assist with the transition. All we can say is how wonderful Jennifer and her caregivers have been. Kind and helpful and understanding and caring - just lovely people whose goal was to help mom and they did.

STEPS was a pleasure to work with. My father received care from December 2019- March 2020 when he passed away. Shan was always available to answer questions and very responsive when we needed to add more care hours (from 12 hours a week to full time live in). STEPS provided, first for my step-mother and then for my father, support far better--far more caring, far more careful, far more knowledgeable--than I would have dared hope for. The on-site caregivers were deeply compassionate professionals who became cherished family members; the office was responsive, respectful, efficient, and kind. We are certain that STEPS extended my father's life, and the extra time he had was happy, largely because he felt safe and well cared for. We will always be grateful for STEPS.

We recently found ourselves in need of companion care for an elderly parent. We needed the care for just a week, and we needed it right away. STEPS was amazing - they assessed our needs and lined us up with someone the same day who exactly met our needs. Over the course of the week we had several different caretakers involved, and they were each so kind, patient, professional. The agency was very careful to keep us informed about the scheduling and they were a pleasure to work with. We can not recommend them highly enough.

When I contacted Sean Wade and his team at STEPS Home Care, I had not been able to find a CNA to help my elderly father with dementia who was going through a difficult phase. Sean took the time to understand what my dad's needs were, and what our expectations as a family were. He sent us someone who was an excellent fit. STEPS takes the time to really understand the dynamics of each patient and their family. I highly recommend them.
