Megan Davis moved to Hood River from the Puget Sound in 1995 and opened a small coffee and baked goods shop outside Windance. Hungry sailors and tourists stopped there for hot muffins, breakfast burritos, great coffee, and her signature peach kuchen. At her small home on the westside, she planted nearly an acre of garden and set up shop at the local farmer's market with fresh vegetables, greens, flowers, and homemade granola.
She managed the small coffee shop/bakery prior to marrying Clint Harris in 1999. Years later, they temporarily relocated to Portland for Clint's graduate school pursuit, and Megan took employment with the family business, Grand Central Bakery. Grand Central was established in Seattle in 1972 by her mother, and is still owned and run by her brother Ben and sister Piper.

Friendly, local, and delicious cafe and shop full of amazing local goodies.
Came in for a quick breakfast, and in the process picked up some amazing organic teas, baked treats and fresh bread to take home.
Spent a few hours working from my van while parked (hood street parking and relatively level), then decided to grab lunch here too. Tried the soup and their pizza. Soooo good, great portion size and reasonably priced.
Everything tasted homemade and top quality. Their thumbprint cookies with local jam are the bomb. The almond croissant and pear pie I brought home to share with my boyfriend

Not going to lie, there was definitely a time when I was coming in here every single day on my walk home from work haha. The staff is always so amazing & accommodating, and, of course, their pastries are delicious. They've got a decent selection of things that are on the menu year round, but they've also been adding some fun seasonal items as well, so even if you're a regular, there's always an opportunity to try something new! Thank you guys for staying strong & staying amazing, even through this pandemic!

I frequent Pine Street Bakery often and it’s a nice little bakery in Hood River! Friendly people and yummy bread. Coffee is usually good and I appreciate the oat milk. Knocking a star though because of inconsistency with the coffee, really wish there was some vegan pastry/food options, and they close a little early.
