I purchased a Koala Sewing cabinet from Mary at Calico Station. I received a wonderful price, great customer service and lots of advice about what would work best for my sewing room. The cabinet is custom made for me and it took about 5 weeks to arrive. Two gentlemen brought it into my home and completely assembled it. They even took all the trash out with them. I am planning on purchasing another cabinet for my embroidery machine in the near future. I can now sew for hours without any neck and back pain due to the lower cabinet height that I chose for ME. I've been quilting/embroidery for about 10 years now and have never met anyone that isn't friendly, helpful and willing to assist. It's just a happy hobby. That is until I contacted Calico Cotton Quilt shop. I signed up for a class and when the instructions were sent to me, it appeared my machine hoop may not be large enough. I called the shop and per my phone records, I spoke to them 9 (NINE) times to ensure my machine would work. I was traveling 9 hours to the class, incurring gas, lodging, etc expenses (two times, one for prep class and one for class) and didn't want it to be all for naught

I just found this gem of a store last week and I’ve already been back! I had the pleasure of meeting some very nice employees and the store owner; all of them were very kind and extremely helpful. I was excited to see that they carry Bernina and Brother machines as well as a large selection of fabric.

My beloved Bernina B350 just stopped working mid-stitch, and if you have a Bernina that has a problem, you know that finding info on parts and DIY fixes is nigh on impossible. :/ Thankfully, Calico Station is a local certified Bernina repair shop. I took my machine in during the week, and was told the tech would look over it to diagnose the problem ($65/hr for that) and then call me with the problem and next steps. I was terrified I would be seriously overcharged, but what could I do? It was a week later when I got a call from a somewhat gruff man telling me my power supply had failed, and I asked

I have been to this fabric store over the years and lately... I must say it just keeps getting better! I had (another) great time at Calico Station on Friday sewing with my peeps during their open sew, for $5 you can socialize with other quilters and spread out to work on your own projects. While there I decided to sign up for the FAB club, each month I will get a sneak preview of the newest fabrics in the shop and a fabric gift. Uhm , ok yeah sign me up for that!
