This is a process that can be completed on your own through studentaid.gov. I calculated what it would cost on the government website and ABS's accuracy was incorrect. I would pay 114.00 a month for the next 10 years which is 2,000 more than what I owe now. With ABS's service, it would be 133.00 a month for 6 years and that only adds up to 9,576.00. So if the government source is asking for 114.00 a month for ten years, which adds up to an extra 2k, that means that this place is a scam.

ABS saved me big time. I recently finished school in San Diego, looking for a new job in my career field and I was paying nearly $170 for student loans which was killing me. I am so grateful for ABS. They helped me enroll into a program so I don't have to worry about my loans any longer. I didn't even know these programs existed until they walked me through the process. Not going to lie, I thought this was a sketchy deal or scam at first. I fully resolved myself to paying my student loans (and mostly just interest) for the next 20 years). When these guys fully explained the process of lowering payments and the forgiveness program and the legitimacy of it, I was excited to sign up but still skeptical that it would work. Lo and behold, they got my monthly payments down to $9 a month for the next year and then the loan will be forgiven! It was such a simple process I was shocked. I called ABS Student Loans in October of 2018 after speaking with Chelsea I felt confident with their ability to get the job done. I was paying my loan servicer $230 a month but after having ABS Student Loans handle the paperwork, they we able to get my payments under $50 dollars. This is huge! I'm saving so much money that I would otherwise just be throwing away! I wanted to share this with any one out there who's looking for a reliable and honest company to work with.
