John is married to Amy, our office manager, and has two sons, Hunter and Brody. As an owner/manager, John's main tasks include keeping jobs organized, ordering parts, and communicating with customers.

How frequently you'll need brake service depends on how often you drive, where you drive, and the quality of the brake parts installed. It's recommended you ask a service technician to check your brakes around the same time as a tire rotation - roughly every six months.

Vinson Haas is an honest repair facility. I had a trip planned and of course the day before my engine light came on. John checked out the engine light right away and let me know it would be ok to take my trip. I scheduled an appointment for a few days later. Dropped off the truck, Amy called for approval on price and I picked the vehicle up the next day. Work done correctly, in a timely manner and no laundry list of nonsense for the shop to make a quick buck. It's very refreshing to have people follow through with what they say they will do. Go to Vinson Haas and save yourself a headache!

I took my 2006 BMW to Vinson/Haas for repair so I could pass inspections. This was the first time I have taken any car to them. They did a fantastic job repairing my car and making sure it passed inspections. They finished the work ahead of schedule. I had a great experience with their service and will definitely have them work on my cars in the future. They were very professional and treated me very well. I will be referring my family and friends to them.

I’ve been a happy Vinson Haas customer since I moved to Scottsdale 8 years ago. They are professional, honest and always do good work on my cars to keep them running well. They are always respectfully share knowledge and information about repairs and never try to take advantage of me as a woman (something I’ve unfortunately had to deal with at other repair shops).

Good people, good service, competitively priced. I've used Vinson/Hass for over 20 years. Although they came highly recommended from a trusted friend 20 years ago, the auto repair business has a bad reputation so I used second opinions and my own research to build my own trust. I will never go anywhere else!! Vinson/Haas has the very best customer service! When I explain what's wrong, I am not treated like I don't know what I'm talking about - sometimes, as a woman at an auto repair shop, that is the case - not at Vinson/Haas. I am confident when I get that price quote for the repair needed, it's fair too! Any repair or maintenance I've gone to them for has held up with superior quality. I reached Vinson Haas, and set up an appointment. I dealt with Stephen and he was very personable and friendly.

I've had my 4Runner serviced at Vinson/Haas several times now and it's always a professional experience. When I had my timing belt and water pump replaced they made it a simple process to get the best quote available for me. Amy is incredibly responsive over text and always updates you on your car which I greatly appreciate.

My initial business with Vinson/Haas Auto was great. Having been disappointed recently with dealership mechanics and prices for service, I found V/H Auto on Yelp and happily spent around $2000 getting 65k-mileage updates done on my car before a long road trip (replacing both axels, air filters, tire rotation, etc.) after seeing it was a women-owned and veteran-owned business (way better than dealerships!). I also appreciated how conscious they were of the current pandemic situation with everything able to be done over the phone or by email.

I have been here twice. And I was very impressed both times. Being without air for 2 years and in a matter of a few hours it's running like new. The 2 nd time I bought 4 new tires. They then found out there was nothing left to the motor mounts so of course I had them replaced. I would have never known if it wasn't for the great mechanics there. I strongly recommend this shop. Oh by the way Tom and Jordan are the best!!!!

My left tail light and turn signal was out. I was told by an Autozone associate who replaced the lightbulbs that the wiring would need to be replaced. Luckily, the guys at Vinson/Haas figured out that nothing was wrong and gave me the correct lightbulb for free! John, the owner, and Amy, office manager were both super accommodating and kind. The place is clean and welcoming. Highly recommend!

I have gone here for both a critical wheel bearing repair and a simple oil change. Both experiences have been amazing. The customer service and the communication between business and consumer is fantastic. As a woman I always feel intimidated going into mechanic shops and feeling like I'm going to get ripped off. Definitely not here. Amy at the front desk is very friendly and knowledgeable. Great price for both repair needs. And overall wonderful easy experience. Definitely recommend and will continue to go back to them for servicing my vehicle. They have made a new lifelong customer.

They are pleasant people and i can't comment on the work they do, but after getting what seemed to be a very high estimate on the repairs to my vehicle i quickly googled the parts they told me i needed and came to find that one was about 30% more form them, which is ok as i understand it is a business, but the other part was marked up over 3x and i didn't bother to check to see if the hours they were looking to charge me were accurate either. Same as most mechanics in how they do business it seems. At least they didn't tell me it would be $550 for an exhaust hanger like another shop

This is the worst auto service I have ever had. The parts were hundreds of dollars more than what you can find them for online, the office clerk is rude, and the internal communication is terrible. The mechanics are nice and know their stuff but a simple repair ended up being over 500$ more than what it should have been. My advice is to go anywhere else.

Came here based on other Yelp reviews I read and I'm glad I did. Everyone from the receptionist out front to John who talked to me about everything they found was very friendly and seemed to have the customers interest in mind. Brought my car in at 10am and was able to pick it up at 10am the next so just be prepared to not have a vehicle for a day or so while they figure it out. Ended up only getting part of the services they recommended and they respected my decision and helped me get what I needed which I always appreciate. Even had me come back for a free follow up after I got everything

I have a 1997 Jeep and Everytime I have work done like water pump or brakes they do a perfect job at a good price. It is refreshing to have real mechanics know what to do and to do only what is needed. John tells it truthfully and it's reassuring driving an older Jeep they are there to keep it going. 5 stars!!

Talk about service! Brought my Mercedes here for a second opinion and Andy and the rest of the crew took great care of me and my car. I will be back!
