Jess C. Spencer Mortuary was founded in 1965 at the location on Redwood Road in Castro Valley, where it still stands. We were founded by a group of Castro Valley and East Bay business people who desired a modern mortuary in Castro Valley. In 1990 we opened our crematory and remain the only crematory in Castro Valley.
We employ creative and experienced professionals who demonstrate outstanding commitment to quality, integrity and personal service. While we deal with necessary practical considerations, our interactions with clients are always characterized by sympathy, and understanding. Wesley "Wes" Fisher, President of Graham-Hitch Mortuaries located in Pleasanton and Danville, is a licensed funeral director with over 35 years' experience.
We understand that each family is unique and may require our services to respond to specific personal requests, religious dictates or cultural traditions. A ceremony can be anything you wish, simple or elaborate, traditional or contemporary. You can have your service anywhere and anyway you want.
