Owners Joel Strahota & Manuel Ortiz understand life safety firsthand. Joel has been on the Grand River FD/SGLC Ambulance for over 40 years and currently serves as the Assistant Fire Chief and EMS Director. Manuel has been with the Grand River FD for 10 years and serves as a Lieutenant. Manuel also serves on the WI Emergency Vehicle Technician board.

Our team understands life safety and works diligently to have your apparatus in service in a timely manner.
All pump testing will be performed in accordance to the NFPA 1911 standards. Test conducted include: dry vacuum test, relief valve/governor test, and tank to pump flow test. The pump maintenance program includes a pump transmission oil change, dry vacuum test, and lubrication of all valves. We will inspect all valves, gauges, and additional pump accessories.
The STRIEM UTV is a true pump & roll unit. The unit offers the ability to transform from a fire rescue unit to an EMS unit without hassle. Rennert's has designed the unit so that the pump is independent of the base vehicle. Within minutes you can remove the skid and replace it with an EMS bed. The EMS bed can transport three rescue personnel and one patient.
Each STRIEM TU (Truck unit) is custom built to your department's needs. Your department chooses your tank size (150, 225, 300, or Custom) and we go from there to build the skid unit that fits your department's requirements. This unit also offers under tank storage and cab space along with other specialty options.
