The Makery is excited to have small group classes! Our studio is set up with 5 separate work stations for safe distancing and each student will have their own Tool Kit. Classes are in 6 Week Sessions. You can still purchase Fabric and Project Kits in our Shop for shipping or curbside pick-up if you prefer to sew at home.
For our kids classes- if your child has never used a sewing machine, they need to start with a Kids Learn to Sew class. This ensures that they learn how to safely use the sewing machine and tools in the studio and are comfortable threading the machine, winding a bobbin and are starting to understand how to land their stitches where they want them before joining the next level of classes.

Caitlin and her staff are fantastic! She taught me to sew and then my kids! She's very patient and truly cares about the kids. She taught my kids to use the machine safely and independently to the point where they critique my sewing technique, "Mom, don't put your fingers in the danger zone!". Highly recommend.

I came to Artsy because I had won a gift card in a silent auction -- and I'm so glad I did! I went there for a lesson on how to use my sewing machine that I'd never really tried before and left after a great session. She gave me a full lesson on how the machine worked and gave me plenty of tips and a project to work on on my own. I highly recommend this place and plan to go back!
