Services
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC#83238) with the State of California (Board of Behavioral Sciences) as well as a trained life coach. I have 10 years experience in the field of counseling and coaching and have had the chance to work with hundreds of clients from all different backgrounds.
Whether you're experiencing an issue in your marriage, dating relationship, or even a difficult person in the workplace, therapy can be a great way to make improvements in your relationships. Developing boundaries, enhancing communication skills, and improving self-care are just a few of the many ways that therapy can help.
There are many self-help groups available that can assist you in your growth and recovery, however, many clients still benefit from therapy by addressing underlying issues. If you feel like therapy could help you in your recovery, I would be honored to support you. Counseling can also be a great way to help you apply the principles of recovery in your relationships.
Mood issues are one of the most common psychological issues that people face. These include experiences like depression, mood swings, anxiety, panic, phobias, and others. Some find relief through a prescription from their doctor, however, therapy can be a valuable asset to address unhealthy thoughts and behaviors.
Coaching is an alternative to psychotherapy that is less focused on healing and insight, and more focused on clarity and direction. Coaching is action-oriented and forward thinking. In the coaching process, I aim to support the client through the exciting process of discovery and direction to build on the strengths and the motivation they bring.

It's not easy to find a counselor who's able to understand your story and meet you where you are while be able to speak truth and wisdom regarding your circumstances. Tom certainly has been able to do this in my life.
I've been privileged to have Tom as a sounding board and counsel in my life for almost 2 years now. I can't fully express my appreciation towards him and the encouragement he's been

Mr DeMuri is highly qualified, educated, and one of the most genuine mental health professionals I have met the field. He continues to conducted himself within the highest of legal and ethical standards. I have known him for many years and have seen him grow more ambitious and motivated throughout his long career. Mr DeMuri approaches his clients with the proper balance of rapport building and setting professional boundaries that is very much needed from a therapist. I have seen him lead everything ranging from group sessions on opiate addiction to offices of mental health clinicians with his managerial
