Many of you have known me for many years and may know me as Stel, Stella, Stelly, or Estela. I began my career in hair at 17 years old in Lansing, Michigan. Shortly after moving to Grand Rapids I took my mother's advice and opened up my first salon, Stella's Styles in my home in order to be close to and raise my three beautiful children.

A few years, locations, and name changes later, I planted my salon, Stella's Great Expectations, in Wyoming, Michigan. The name, Stella's Great Expectations, was inspired by my father who named me after 'Estella', a character in the novel, Great Expectations by Charles Dickens.

After moving out of state, I have struggled to find a beautician who is as talented and easygoing as Stella. I recently returned to Grand Rapids for a visit and made sure to reach out for an appointment as… soon as I booked my flight. Stella has been doing my hair since around 2005 and has done my son’s as well! She’s amazing at color and cut and does a great job of listening and interpreting what is asked for. I highly recommend her to do anyone in the family! 5 Stars!

I'm 32 years old, and Stella has been doing my hair since I was 15. I tried going to others to cut my hair before but immediately regretted it, and Stella had to fix it for me. I will never ever go to anyone else because she is by far the best! I also will only have her cut my daughter's hair now too. Love you Stella!! You deserve more than 5 stars!
