Lake Leelanau RV Park was originally called Teter's Little Finger Beach. It was started by Ray & Florence Teter in the 1960's. The campground had all dirt roads with only rustic, grass-covered campsites. There was a peanut farm, a large garden, and a community camper's garden on the south side of the park.

Located on the northern side of the park were five housekeeping cottages nestled among the campsites. An old barn sat at the entrance where our fountain currently is located. There were small aluminum row boats for rent, an aluminum boathouse, docks, and a wonderful sandy beach that remains today.
Services
Our in-season office hours are from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm. Stop by or give us a call! Yes, dogs must be on a leash (6 foot max) at all times. You must clean up after them and they are not permitted on the beach at any time for obvious sanitary reasons. You may not leave them unattended on your site or in your camper.
On the northwestern shore of Michigan's lower peninsula lies Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, a hilly region fringed with massive coastal sand dunes and dotted with clear lakes. The Sleeping Bear Dunes were even voted the "Most Beautiful Place in the Country" by ABC News! Go back in time to the Historic Fishtown in Leland.
Enjoy the pristine shores of Lake Leelanau. The lake provides 21 miles of crystal clear waters. Our beach has a large, shallow, and safe swimming area perfect for children and family fun. Fishing (Lake Leelanau is filled with Walleye, Bass, Northern Pike, Perch, Trout, and loads of pan fish.). Very few campgrounds are located on a 21-mile long beautiful lake and we are very proud to be able to offer you many choices for enjoying the water.
Leelanau County's finest lodge can accommodate up to 140 people. Our log lodge has a large full kitchen, bathrooms (handicap accessible), tables and chairs, 50 inch plasma TV, leather couch, and a huge wood burning fireplace. We have state-of-the-art surround sound for movies and a microphone for meetings.
Did you know we have a pipe organ? The Lake Leelanau RV Park pipe organ has three manuals and pedals, and consists of 61 ranks, for a total of 3,503 pipes. The instrument is a combination of a 1923 Moller and a 1967 Casavant. The shortest pipe has a speaking length of 3/8 inch, and the longest is 16 feet.

Beautiful campground right on Lake Leelanau! Full amenities and gorgeous views! Nestled in between Leland and Suttons Bay, the site is about 40 minutes to Traverse City if you miss the city. But, there's plenty to do and see in the naturistic Lake Leelanau!

Very nice campground. Full hookups well located for easy use. Cable tv a plus. Check in was very friendly and helpful. Groceries, hardware store, dinning only a couple miles away. Excellent location for boating and fishing.

If you like a secluded quiet camping this place is NOT for you. It’s so tightly packed with huge campers and seasonal park models even though the sites are wide. Small trees, no privacy. Tiny beach but plenty of boat slips. HEAVY TRAFFIC of kids bicycles and senior golf carts regardless of which site you’re on. Didn’t even do a camp fire bcz the fire ring is so close to the road. This would be great for a big city person with a boat/jet ski but not for a true camper. I wish we went to Pines campground.

Beautiful Park, great office staff. Not happy with the people that have nothing else to do but make sure you are driving 5 mph instead of 8 mph. In their attempt to “protect children” those same children were passing our truck on their scooters, skateboards and bikes. How is that any safer than going a couple of mph faster. Meanwhile, Seasonals buzz by at 15 mph on their golf carts. Staff guide new campers to their sites faster than the required 5 mph, and lawn tractors and other farm implements scoot along at higher speeds, too. As much as we love this park for its location, we probably won’t

My family has been coming here for years. We go up for 2 weeks every year! It is so clean and beautiful. Kids can run around without adult supervision from 8:00 in the morning to midnight! I have made so many friends up there! And as a kid myself there is so many fun activities due to covid some were canceled :( But me and my cousins love running around and making new friends! I am actually going up again in 11 days! I look forward to it the day we leave! It’s like my second home! The bathhouses are very nice (most of the time clean). I love taking our boat to lealand and riding wave runners

Very nice place! Great family campground, just too many golf carts block roads.

We have camped there for at least a week each of the last 15 years. The owner and staff have always been very helpful and friendly. The only negative is having to pay extra for internet which is very slow.

This our third time staying here we love this place. The sites are large and always very clean. The bathhouse is very nice! Water access and the views are the best. Me and my wife where looking for a water front home and decided to put a deposit down on a seasonal site. The weekender site a lot of them have great water views.

We love this park. It's our second year coming here. We love being on the lake. The staff and services are top notch. Everyone makes sure your visit is a good one. It's located not far from Glen Arbor and Suttons Bay, but there are many wineries to try within a few miles from the park. Plus, there's a grocery store and restaurants 3 miles from the park.
