Damien is Certified Arborist, Certified Tree Risk Assessor and the owner of Oregon Tree Care. He takes pride in precision, skill, and community development through his work and philanthropic ventures. He currently resides on the Board of Directors for a local group, Ascending the Giants and chairs the PNW-ISA committee for the local and regional tree climbing championships.

As part of our efforts to maintain social distancing best practices, we are using Facetime and Google Duo to offer virtual tree assessments and quotes. We'll video chat with you, answer your questions, take a look at your trees, and talk about next steps. Our most popular tree service, tree trimming/pruning helps maintain the health and beauty of your trees. All cleanup and hauling of wood included! Conducted by a Certified Arborist, detailed written reports include an on-site inspection and assessment. Reports may include recommendations for proper tree protection measures, mapping, and/or a summary of the overall health of your trees.

There are many situations where a homeowner or contractor in Portland may need a certified arborist report. Oregon Tree Care came & removed a very gnarly 60 year old holly tree that was located right next to a fence, and was impinging on the neighbors' properties. They even contacted the neighbors and got permission to access their yards, and left all of our properties tidy afterwards. The crew was cheerful, friendly, and professional throughout a difficult job.

What an excellent job these guys from Oregon Tree Care did! Communication between us and them was very good, and they used care and high level skills to remove hanging boughs and branches from our three very large pine trees. They also took care to thin out the upper branches to preserve the integrity of the trees in wind. We were impressed with the high level of teamwork they demonstrated , and clearly they are seasoned professionals at tree work. We highly recommend this company.

My wife and I moved into our house 2 years ago and loved all the large trees on the property. The big firs, maples and cedars were awesome but we could tell they hadn't been looked at by an arborist in a long time. Damien and his crew did a big 1.5 day job at our house then and just did a follow up half day last week. They did such a great job and were a pleasure to work with. Professional, friendly and tidy are just a few words that come to mind when describing my experience. We're so happy we went with OTC and will continue to use them for all our tree care in the future.

My wife and I contracted with Oregon Tree Care to shape and thin out our large Oak tree. They aren't the cheapest but you get what you pay for. They arrived with a full crew of 6 and went to work. I sat on our deck watching the show, like being at the circus. the communication between the workers was excellent, they were professional, friendly, and sometimes funny. They communicated with my neighbors that were affected by limbs coming down, and left no debris anywhere. These people are knowledgeable and efficient. When my other trees need work I will be using them again.

Several years ago Oregon Tree Care helped me with some trees and so I was glad to call them again recently. The professional service I experienced years ago was, if possible, even more impressive this time. They arrived promptly, talked through their steps with me both before and after the trimming process, and cleaned up all the debris. The workers were polite and friendly and gave me some good advice for the future care of my trees.

25 years of experience showed when Damien and his crew removed dozens of severely overgrown Arborvitae on our newly purchased property. The team moved like a well-oiled machine; they were safe, efficient, courteous, and even reassuring to my anxiety about having the trees removed. I had multiple bids on this (very difficult) job and I'm glad I went with Oregon Tree Care, they used a combination of ropes, pulley systems, and even climbing to strategically bring each tree down safely - for the amount of work the team put in the price was fair, they even were able to fit us in early due to an opening

This is the second time we've used Oregon Tree Care to look after our Japanese Maples which had been pruned incorrectly in the past. The crew came in and did a great job of pruning again without jeopardizing the health of the trees and also worked on trimming of a huge Pin Oak that had a lot of deadwood at the lower branches. They were prompt, considerate and efficient. I would not hesitate to recommend them again.

Damien and his crew did an excellent job! Thinned out my huge red oaks in my parking strip and trimmed away from my house and my neighbor's house. Oregon Tree Care won the bid due to showing up on time, getting the bid in in a timely fashion, and most importantly, communication! They even trimmed out more when requested and the trees look so much better! They also cleaned up after themselves and wore masks, worked safely (and entertained me and the neighbors with the climbing).

My neighbor was going to use Damien's services to trim a white pine on my property. It was in December. I was concerned about it being too cold to trim much off of the tree so I called OTC and left a message with my concerns. I never heard back. So I left a review on Yelp about their company.
Well, of course I immediately heard back from Damien after my review posted. He was angry and his tone was making me uncomfortable. Since he knew who I was and where I lived, I deleted the review. I was uncomfortable with the whole incident

I love this company! Our yard looks amazing now! We just moved into our new home a few weeks ago and the trees definitely needed some overdue TLC. My husband reached out to Damien, based on a referral by our landscaper and we received a response right away. We scheduled our initial walk-through and Damien was on time and super easy to talk to. Their pricing came in lower than a big name in town and they were available two weeks earlier than the other company we priced out. On site, they had the whole front yard coned off and "slow down" safety sandwich boards on the street. There

I got their contact through the Backyard Habitat Program, but I already got to see their team in action when my neighbor hired them a few months ago. Damien was quick and efficient in his walk-through and estimate, and the team that came out for pruning was well-equipped and also very friendly! They were careful to not damage any existing landscaping as they made their way through my garden, and did a good job cleaning up. They pruned and thinned all of my Japanese maples which now look so beautiful and happy! I won't hesitate to call OTC again for future maintenance. I was a little stressful

Overpriced and over inflated egos.- I should have seen the rest of these reviews before having them come out. And in looking at the poor reviews, I wouldn't trust that one 5 star rating - I call BS on that one. In talking to Damien about the obvious lack of work for the price, he starts in over defensively that they're 'professionals' over and over again... I get it - you saying you're a professional. That doesn't mean you don't overcharge people. Stay away from this place.

Oregon Tree Care has been excellent. They did a superb job trimming my walnut tree and helped me come up with a creative solution for dealing with an unfortunately placed stump. They have been both professional and friendly in every interaction and competitively priced. I would not hesitate to recommend Oregon Tree Care to friends and family.

Unfortunately I have not had good luck with Oregon Tree Care. I rent a house and there's a huge Oak tree on the property. The owner of the house and I agreed to have the tree trimmed. I called Oregon Tree Care and scheduled the work to be done. I was very clear about being the renter, and explained that the home owner would be mailing payment. They understood and everything was all set.
The two-man team showed up an hour late, and said they had just come from another big job. They were tired, hungry, and clearly in need of a break. After a short break they set to work on the big Oak tree
