Services
We love doing Drive Thru and Carryout specials and have decided to make them a permanent part of what we offer at Chicory Cafe Mishawaka. They're easy and convenient and help us provide seriously good food to people in a way that minimizes contact and maximizes enjoyment. Some events require tickets that are purchased in advance (preorder).

Too expensive for bland food. The traditional mac 'n cheese ($11) tasted like boiled macaroni. The cajun shrimp po'boy ($9) had no amount of "cajun" to it and the shrimp was overcooked. To top the whole experience off, I witnessed a male staff member picking their nose behind the counter as we left (absolutely disgusting). I will never return to this restaurant.

Absolutely love this place! I love their menu and their prices. They also have a decent sized venue that you can rent out for weddings and baby showers or whatever you can think of for a very reasonable price and they decorate and cater I believe the time that I did see it decorated it was so elegant! Definitely recommend!

Had my wedding here. They provide and set up everything you could possibly ask for. The decorations were gorgeous and the food was AMAZING! I absolutely loved everything and the whole experience was very easy going for me. I spent so much time worrying on how I was gonna do everything until I spoke with them and they made my whole experience perfect.. Being able to do payments we pretty great as well. And they were much more affordable than what I was expecting. Highly recommend for any type of event.

Chicory always seems to be so busy and somehow continues to manage an excellent atmosphere. The staff is great, very helpful in terms of making recommendations off the menu and quick to fix issues with your order should any arise. We all got Po’ boys and everyone in our group was impressed, so much so that a few of us ordered seconds. They also have delicious Italian sodas that aren’t too sweet, bitter or tart—just perfect. The Mishawaka location is pleasant but the one in South Bend is even better! Would highly recommend either location.

My wife and I were exploring the newly built Mill area in downtown Mishawaka when we got hungry. And when we get hungry, we'll you know, you don't want to get Hangry, right? This place is right on the edge of the parking area of the Mill. I had no idea what type of food they had, but was I pleasantly surprised to find all of these Cajun favorites! The food, oh my, the food is great. Please see the pictures I attached, and yes it tasted as great as it looked. The 3 pastry treats were perfect and one is more than plenty so 3 is nice to share. The shrimp Po'Boy was perfection

I have been there a few times now and each time was great. The new and innovative coffee drinks would be enough to visit. However, we tried the gumbo and a Shrimp PoBoy and it was like being in New Orleans! It's the kind of place you will crave between visits. Rare to find in this area! Please try them out.

Fantastic food and drinks, good dining area, nice outdoor area. The employees are also super nice and helpful.
The event center is nice as well, I was at a work party there last year.
The only downside is that there's only one set of restrooms. So if an event is big enough to use the lobby, you'll have to wander through a wedding reception to use the restroom.

BUYER BEWARE, Check your order before leaving so you get what you ask for. Spent $12 on coffee w $2 tip included only to get the wrong coffee. The young man on register asked me twice what I wanted and he confirmed I wanted a "who dat" w macada nut milk only to get an americano w milk. The other person got what they wanted so it really sucks to spend so much and tip well only to not get what I paid for. Even worse is he lowered his mask partially to repeat something instead of speaking louder. The menu looked good and the prices seem fair but now I don't think I'll be trying

My husband and I were first time visitors here on a Friday in the early evening. My advise to any newbie would be to know the menu. This is not your typical bar food offering. The menu is posted above the counter and is quite detailed, even color coded. Unfortunately, we didn't know how to decode the colors! We were a bit overwhelmed and felt like we were swimming upstream. You order at a counter, fast food style. The order taker was quite busy. It seemed like we were expected to know the ins and outs of the process. Alas, we didn't. Your food is then delivered to your table.

2nd time here and once again did not disappoint. For the table we ordered the hummus, jambalaya, and crawfish Mac and cheese. My daughter and I had shrimp Po' boys and we shared an order of beignets. Everything was delicious. The Mac and cheese was probably the best Mac and cheese I've ever had and the crawfish were tender and sweet. Now let's talk about the beignets. Wow!!! Like pillowy elephant ears with just the right amount of sweetness and fried to perfection. I highly recommend this place for a nice casual bite.

I ordered from here through DoorDash last week and I was pleasantly surprised , they have lovely fresh sandwiches and a great variety of interesting Cajun fare . I specially loved the beignets !!! They were airy and warm and delicious !! Just like the ones I had in New Orleans . Although I ordered them a second time and the beignets were all in pieces and over fried . I'll order again since I know they're actually much better and it was probably the chef that day that messed up the order . Would recommend !

I came here for an early dinner to avoid a crowd and sit outside. The food was good and they have a sign that says masks required but this young kid walks in without a mask and nobody said a word! I won't come back because they don't care about anyone's safety! What is the use of having a sign if you don't enforce it?!!!!

Yesterday I got the lasagna for five (they make this packages, to take home on Wednesday) and it was soooo good, I just got to the parking area and they brought the dinner to my car. That was perfect for the busy day after work, I just got home with a delicious meal, it was hot and ready to serve and eat. Definitely going back, specially on Wednesdays.
Let me tell you there was enough lasagna for 8, so we have leftovers.

Stopped in for a quick solo breakfast two weeks ago and was not disappointed. Staff wear masks and encourage social distancing... seating open inside as well as outside patio if you prefer. I placed my order of egg po' boy with tomato, mushroom and Swiss cheese and enjoyed my regular coffee outside while I waited. It was a gorgeous morning with a handful of other diners enjoying the outdoors as well. Within a reasonable amount of time, a friendly server brought out my food which was excellent... and too large to eat in one sitting. I asked for a take out container and saved the other

Came here with friends who live in the area for lunch. You're welcomed with a colorful mural on the outside wall; almost giving it a New Orlean style feel. Inside is very warm and inviting. Lots of menu boards with beer/drink specials. I decided to go for the Seafood Gumbo and wasn't disappointed. Exactly how I like it. Has a nice kick of spice to it and the side of cornbread that comes with the order was the perfect compliment to it. Flavors on point. Was very satisfied with it.
