You may have a friend who advises that you can get "a legal separation" on your own, or by purchasing paperwork online.
The fastest, easiest way to divorce in Virginia is through an uncontested divorce, or agreed divorce. You and your wife both agree on all the terms for separating, including custody of your children (if any), property division, and support payments. I worked with Mr. Ryan Thum 5 years ago and he is unforgettable! I was sad to learn he wasn’t at the same firm I had retained him at. But they told me he works at FFM now and I wanted to leave a review. Professional, personable and knows what he’s doing!!! Put all your faith into him and he will do wonders!! This law firm does not hide anything when it comes to expenses you should know that going forward with this law firm or any other law firm that it costs money. Lawyers do not promise anything except representing you and your rights, so complaints about money during divorce just doesn’t make sense. Divorce is nasty and expensive and you should know that going forward if you’re getting one. The firm for men has been outstanding to me. My attorney Steph was with me the entire time telling me the process of a non-contested divorce which I paid. When you hire a lawyer, you should not have the expectation

They get one star because I could not give zero. Please, for the sake of your children, do not hire these people. They do not care about you, or your case. If they were good lawyers I could live with that. I paid $3000 for child support case. My lawyer, man named Palmer Hurst, spoke to me 4 minutes before my case was heard. Spoke to me for 3 min after. He never explained what dcse was. Never explained my next steps and I have to pay $1046 in child support when I make $4600 gross a month. I don't care about their firm. I am telling you for your sake and the sake of your children,

Jason quoted me a $2500 retainer and was right on the nose, which I was pleased with. My case was handled quickly and with professionalism and my attorney always kept me up to date on all movement in the case. If I can share one tip, please make sure you keep the lines of communication open with your attorney/legal team. There’s nothing more important.

Very professional and knowledgeable. As an out of state client, communication was great, documents on the client portal very helpful. Always on the offensive, this, along with thorough preparation I believe forced opposing party into settlement favorable to us, and I believe we would have also been successful if it had gone to a hearing. Most of the bad reviews I see here are clearly about money and I can’t help but wonder if you guys think lawyers are free?! My bills were not light by any means, but I never expected them to be. I hired this team because I wanted the EXPERTISE that comes with it, and I got it. Nothing but a bunch of ambulances chasing lawyers. Do yourself a favor and go else where don't be wowed by the consultation once they get your money nothing happens. I asked for a simple support modification and after 5 months and over 5000$ I have fired the firm with nothing accomplished. The lawyer that was assigned to my case mike Snelling couldn't even contact the opposing counsel. I was billed for call after call where he would leave a message and then do no follow up. I had to call multiple times or send emails to get any response. Before we started I told him I would be moving

Had a case with Swango and co. Or lack of co. Passed to several lawyers after the lawyers had left. Likely due to Jason Swango's attitude and poor management. Bottom like I spent a lot of money only to have nothing done. Look at the amount of lawyers that leave his office. It is a revolving door. Big red flag. Do yourself a favor and move on.
