First, to even give one star is beyond generous. This terrible unreliable company literally texted me ten minutes before my pick up saying my reservation has been canceled. Was quoted a price for 5 to jfk from Commack for $130. Little steep but agreed. Dumbfounded at the unprofessionalism especially when families rely on their car services to be on time and take them to the airport for a long anticipated vacation. Words can't describe my disgust and warn you all not to use this service. Uber lucky came to the rescue in five minutes for $80.#blessingindisguise #thanksuber !

Do not use this taxi service if you need a late- night pickup from the Deer Park LIRR! We reserved a Taxi pickup for 2 people at 11:21 PM. First, they texted us with information for 1 cab driver, then they texted us with information for a 2nd cab. Our train arrived on time - did not see an American Taxi cab on either side of the tracks! Tried calling both cabbies - one phone went to voicemail, and the other cabbie said he hadn't gotten anything from the dispatcher. We called the dispatcher - he finally told us there was nothing he could do, and he had no other drivers in the area. Would give

One word to describe- UNRELIABLE.
had a 5:00 am pickup going to lga and called the driver at 4:55 and he was almost 30 minutes from the house. he apologized and said he overslept.
i brought my passenger to meet him partway to the airport only to find his trunk half filled already with boxes and bags. the car that came was a honda accord. not something you'd think of as a car service. seems. more like an uber concept.
i suspect most of the good reviews are friends and workers posting.

Text confirmation with drivers name, phone number and car he drives was a nice touch. Reserved the night before for an airport run. Can pay with a debit/credit card or cash. The driver Luis was on time, and his car was newer and clean.

Uneventful ride, which is a compliment. No issues with safety, and he knew how to get where we needed to go. Had a nice chat with him towards the end of our ride (he picked us up at 5:45am!) and he got us there quickly and safely.

Cost was in line with ride sharing services, probably a bit less than other taxi services and a much nicer car.

Excellent service. I used two different taxis during the day. Both times, they contacted me before coming to let me know what kind of car to look for. On time, friendly drivers, clean car. I would definitely call them again.

Five Stars for Frank!!!!! He called me when he received my request from the dispatcher and told me exactly how many minutes it would take for him to get to me. He drove up my driveway to pick me up at my doorstep. And, he raced to the train station so that I could make my train. Super nice guy. Ask for Frank when you call.

I think this sight is a fraud. This company sent a dilapidated limo with no air on a 90 degree plus day for one part of the trip, and never returned to pick up even though took $ for a round trip. They required cash up front.. THEY ARE A SCAM!!!!

Used American Taxi NY for the first time this morning for a ride to the airport. The driver texted me the evening before to confirm. He was punctual and professional. The vehicle was immaculate. Very inexpensive for the overall quality of the service provided.

I needed a ride to LaGuardia from Long Island and called American. Everything about this company is professional. Ian was my driver and showed up 15 minutes early, and happy to wait until I was ready. His car was immaculately clean and I had plenty of room. We chatted all the way in and before I knew it, we were curbside at the airport! Fantastic service and comfortable, stress free ride. They are now my "go to" for airport service. Thanks, Ian!

Highly recommend this company to anyone who needs a lift to the airport. The drivers are very nice, the cars are clean and the price is the lowest I found. I've used other companies who charge almost double for the same cars. There was one time they were running about 10 minutes and I ended up getting the ride for free. That was definitely worth waiting an extra 10 minutes for. Even though I declined their generous offer they were insistent and the driver didn't take my money. Awesome.
