Campground has a good location and is very clean. Matt (owner) is very nice and helpful.
Kerry was also nice and pleasant and willing to answer any questions about the area. Did not really have time to use the facilities but the comfort station was very clean and our cabin (C2) was very nice. We wish Matt a lot of luck with Cold River in the years ahead.

Great central location! I took several day trips to see many parks (Acadia, Baxter, Rangeley) and other places while I stayed here. The campground is very cozy, quiet, well lit and I felt very safe walking my dogs at night. The bathrooms are impeccable! The owner Matt is very helpful, he even helped me park my RV (I traveled solo) and hitch up when I left. They host a variety of events from bands to pot luck dinners which really gives this place a very friendly vibe. I will definitely be back in the spring!

This is a nice campground. Friendly staff. Nice store. Sites are a bit on the close side in certain areas. My only complaint was I reserved a 50 amp site but got a 30 amp. This would be a problem if you have 2 air conditioners like our rig has. Fortunately, it was cool most nights.
LESSON LEARNED: it's always a good idea to call the campground a week before your arrival to be sure all your needs are met, particularly if it isn't detailed in your emailed confirmation.
I wanted to add that they have a very CLEAN laundry room with CLEAN wash machines & dryers all in good working order. So important

Called and the guy worked with me on a site. We stayed 5 nights in a bus. The space was a little short but we made it work. We were right by the bathrooms and showers, which was great. Their bathrooms and showers were very nice and clean. Best ones we had on our entire trip. Pricing was very reasonable. Laundry was very nice. Had a library full of books and movies. In fact my sister in law and I watched a movie while we done laundry. Best laundry I’ve ever been in on my travels. The guy who worked there stopped by a couple times to see if everything was still okay. There was a lot of long timers

Excellent campground. Owners are very helpful and friendly. We needed a site for 2 weeks. The owner worked with us on the phone and got 3 sites over the time we needed. Yes we had to move twice but we needed to be near Bangor. Thanks for the effort, it worked out great. This cg is both seasonal and short term. We found the seasonal folks very warm and welcoming, not always the case in our experience. I can't speak about the bath house as we never used it. The pool is clean and the communal campfires are a great place to meet some really nice people. Just want some quiet time? No problem, each site

This is a nice little well maintained campground. It was extremely quiet which worked well for our purposes. The bathrooms were impeccably clean and comfortable. The showers hot and free. The campsites were mostly partially shaded, level and average in size. The best sites were for seasonal as is typical, but all sites seems easy to access.
This is not a resort type destination campground but a good home base for exploring the area. My only complaint is that the office/store was closed the first two days we were there and the pool was locked the entire time with no explanation so there was little

The owner/manager was very nice. The showers and restrooms are very clean. It has a nice laundry and library, which is unusual to find in an RV campground. The biggest drawback is how close together the sites are. Neighbors are literally seated right under your windows. This is why I rated it 3 stars. There are a lot of permanent residents here too. Some of the permanent sites are kept up and look nice, but many didn’t.
