My husband and I stayed there for two months and were here through seasons end Sep 28th. Paid $4500 to stay there. Had to leave Sep 28. Went back to visit our friend and his dog who are still staying there. Owners called the Hancock County Sheriff Dept on us because we visited unannounced. After my husband washed the owners nasty dirty camper, was dirtiest camper in the whole campground, then delivered home baked lasagna to them..... REALLY.....DO NOT STAY HERE...CROOKS

Giving a 3 due to no enforcement of park rules. This is a good place, quiet, nice people. Biggest issue was the speeding. Everybody we saw speeding were seasonal as well. Such a shame. I know it’s hard to enforce rules like that with short staffing but a friendly reminder to your seasonal campers can’t hurt. Water pressure was pretty low. WiFi not very good. Cell signal not very good either (not the parks fault obviously). Overall we had a pleasant experience. Park is in a great location. Just please get your seasonal folks to slow down.

This campground impressed us with its clean cabin, clean restrooms, friendly staff and sense of community. Even though we only stayed three nights, everyone welcomed us and the staff were flexible and accommodating. (We checked in late, ran out of firewood, left a towel behind, etc. And there was a solution for everything). We normally prefer more secluded camping, but Balsam Cove was quiet at night and upbeat during the day and we really enjoyed our stay.

I have been trying to get a hold of them for almost a month now for a cancellation and nothing. No email back, mailbox is full for a message. So unprofessional. I can’t stand they will be taking 10% of my dang refund, they don’t even deserve that! I am not even sure they are a real place at this point!!! Did I get scammed!?

We are camping in a 30' trailer in August 2020. We have been once before, several years ago, and enjoyed Toddy Pond. I booked a 3 night stay W-F. We had two very nice days, the neighbors were noisy but you have to put up with that sometimes. And Fri. day was good too, on the lake in canoes with our dogs. But Fri. night there was some sort of event at the pavilion that we were not informed of when making reservations, and our site was very close to the horrible blaring poor excuse for music. Ack! We kept waiting for the awful noise to end, but it kept on for hours! Even though we paid for Fri

"From the moment you arrive, you'll feel like you've come home." That's what it says on the web site, and I really did feel like I came home. The rustic camping cabin we stayed in was so cozy, I didn't even mind it was one room. I loved everything about this campground, especially the hay rides they have on Fridays and Saturdays at 6:30 P.M. It was a great way to see the rest of the campground, and Saturday night was capped off by a HUGE bonfire at 8 P.M. (I'm pretty sure NASA could see it from space.) Thoroughly enjoy our stay at Balsam Cove Campground. There was plenty for the kids to do during the day between swimming, the playground, and exploring the campgrounds. The facilities were very clean and the staff friendly. Also a magnificent Saturday night bonfire topped off our wonderful camping experience.

I reserved and prepaid for 3 nights at a tent site for Columbus Day weekend to visit Acadia National Park. The online reservation website showed sites available, so I picked and paid for a site. I drove up from NYC on Friday 10/7/16 but hit a lot of traffic, so I tried calling the campground to advise them I would be getting in later than expected. No one answers. The phone goes to a recording saying the campground is closed for the season. I assumed that was an old recording since I had successfully booked a campsite and kept driving up. I then emailed the campground advising I'd be getting

We did a last minute reservation for a tent site and very contradictory to previous reviews, the owners were absolutely fantastic! Even though we were running late, they made sure that we would have a map and would be able to get to our site and let us pay for the firewood the next morning. The owners receive five stars.
The reason I gave three stars is because of the site itself. The driveway in is gorgeous with trees! But we were disappointed when we saw that the campsite was gravel and there wasn't any privacy. It made for a hard night's sleep and it's impossible to use tent

This is a nice campground. The scenery is fantastic! We were able to get a site right across from the pond. The campground is clean and the sites are a good size. We only tent camped but grabbed a spot with electrical and water (teenagers needed to charge their technology). We didn't want to camp close to a town so this seemed like the best option. It is close enough to town for convenience but far enough away for peace. They have a laundry, store (not overly stocked), arcade and clean bathrooms and free showers. It is occupied by long term campers. I have only two issues. One was

We really enjoyed our 8 day stay here. They have great sites by the pond and nice woodsy sites too. Also higher sites out of the trees if you want satellite reception. The pond is beautiful, great swimming area and docks for fishing and boating. What a great place to take kids, lots for them to do. Every thing very clean and well maintained. We didn't experience any of the Gestapo like behavior the previous reviewer complained about . I'd say our experience was more like that of the many reviewers on Tripadvisor. We would definitely come back again.

We had an awful time here. It was a long trip from Boston on a Friday night after work but we undertake the trek quite often to get into the gorgeous scenery & fantastic company. We got there late (1am) after a rough ride and were shushed by our friends upon arrival. We sat quietly by the campfire while we learned that our friends have been shunned by the owners and a couple with kids two spots over. We're not party kids, just a group on 24-30 year old young professionals with reputable jobs (pharmacist, property manager, architect etc.) and desire to relax outdoors and spend some time
