Do you stay awake at night not knowing if the noise your car is making will leave you stranded? Are you leery of your auto shop because they always tell you something is wrong with your car that needs to be fixed immediately? Let us put you (and your wallet) at ease- Our repair estimates are often 30-40% less than the dealer.
My mission is not only to fix the problem but to treat your vehicle as if it was my own (and you know I take good care of my own cars). If a car isn't safe for one of my own family members to drive, it's not safe for my customers to drive. Period. We truly are looking out for you. For your peace of mind, we are proud to be a fully insured auto repair facility.

Services
How many mechanics do you know that have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering? I'm willing to bet you've now met your first. I'm a problem solver and a very good one at that. I first started working on cars when I was in high school (yes, that was 20 years ago). My car battery died and took it to a repair shop.
What services do you provide? If you have a problem, just ask, most likely I can fix it. If I can't, I'll refer you to someone who can. Maintenance: All cars have a maintenance schedule to adhere to. If it's on your scheduled maintenance, I can do it. This includes but is not limited to: oil changes, air filters, timing belts, fluid changes and tire rotations.
If you have a question, please feel free to email me at bruce@brucethemechanic.com or use this handy contact form. I have been extremely busy and have had a hard time keeping up with inquiries. If you don't hear from me, please try again. If you have the VIN, it will tell me the year, make, model and engine for your vehicle.
Q: Do you work on [insert auto manufacturer]? A: Absolutely. I work on all makes, all models. If it's a motor vehicle, I work on it. It doesn't take special knowledge to work on Hondas, Toyotas, Lexus, GM, Ford, etc. The dealer would like to make you think so, but it's how they get you to come back to them.

Bruce is the definition of a great mechanic. Trustworthy, honest, reasonable pricing, willing to do research to figure out tricky problems, good communication, and has the skills to tackle jobs ranging from wiring/electrical to engine swaps to complete rebuilds. New or old car, Bruce will take care of you. He has worked on my 1971 BMW 2002, as well as my 1995 BMW M3 (a full engine swap + more), and isn't afraid to tackle something new. As someone who has spent a lot of time having cars worked on by different mechanics & shops, Bruce is an excellent choice when looking for a mechanic.

Great little auto repair shop. I do most of my own repairs, so only pay someone to work on my car infrequently, if I don't have time or the job is too big or requires special tools, etc. But it's great to have someone you can trust when you do need repairs.
I recently had some AC issues. I couldn't figure out the problem and finally had to call in a pro, so I brought my car to Bruce. He got me in pretty quickly and was able to diagnose the problem quickly, even though I wasn't in a hurry to get my car back. (I did need the air conditioning fixed, however, cuz you know, it's Texas).

Oct 2016 update:
I messaged Bruce on Yelp at 12:30pm, as I live in Dallas but happened to be up in Plano. My car had some bad vibrations from a warped brake rotor, and some loose body trim from a storm that I was driving through.
He messaged back within 1 hour and told me to bring it in. Bruce took care of everything within 2 hours. Quick, efficient, and affordable as always.
Here's the kicker: I've had a clunking/banging noise from my rear suspension for four years. Nobody has ever been able to figure it out, because the suspension itself looks fine. I've had it looked at by three or four good

I was all set with the expectation of laying down up to around $2k to essentially overhaul my 119k mile minivan braking system. Replacing seemed reasonable, considering our 6 year old Sienna has been trouble free for the last few years, but it was nice to only replace what was actually needed. Our rotors and front brake pads will last at least another year, and the shocks and struts are still fine. Instead, I spent less than 1/4 of that amount, and that included a synthetic oil change! I highly recommend him, as he'll save you money and save you from throwing away parts that are still working just
