Thayer Academy
Thad Robey is Director of College Counseling and a history and English teacher. Prior to his arrival at Thayer in 2002, he had worked in admissions at Colorado College and Washington University. He also worked for two years at College Coach, an independent college counseling consulting company.

Thad is active in the profession of admission and college counseling, currently serving in an elected position as Finance Chair for ACCIS (Association of College Counselors at Independent Schools).Thad has an M.A. in English Literature from Washington University in St. Louis and a B.A. in English from Colorado College.

Our team in the Thayer Academy Alumni House is eager to provide our alumni with ways to connect including: educational, networking, and social events; travel opportunities; and online resources.
Lunch and snacks provided in our air-conditioned dining hall each and every day. Water is always available throughout the day. Please note: No outside food is allowed. Camp Thayer is free of peanuts and tree nuts. Thayer Academy's Camp Thayer complies with regulations of the Mass. Dept. of Public Health (105 CMR 430.000) and is licensed by the Braintree Board of Health.
Project RISE is a transformational academic enrichment program for students in grades 3-10. It includes students from Boston neighborhoods such as Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan, Jamaica Plain, Hyde Park, Roslindale, South Boston, and the South End. Students also come from towns in the Greater Boston area such as Brockton, Randolph, and Stoughton.

I rode my bike here all the way from oregon.. i got off of the bike and looked at the school in front of me.. which happened to be thayer. took a whiff of the air and immediately smelt a mixture of fresh cut grass, and spaghetti water. after i smelt that spaghetti water i KNEW this was my new home.. i just couldnt stop myself from saying “aw yea babyyy!! this is my kind of school.” i got a few strange looks from people passing by me but at that moment all i wanted to do was take in that magnificent smell of spaghetti water.. im now im a fellow student! so thanks spaghetti water x -fredrick
