Lyerly Funeral Home
Educated in the Rowan County Schools, Mr. Lyerly graduated from Catawba College and the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. His caring and concern for people led to his vision of providing thoughtful service to families at a difficult time in their lives. His kind manner and sincere concern quickly became a tradition.

The Lyerly family has continued this tradition to the present day. Upon Mr. Lyerly's death in 1987, his son, J. Brent Lyerly, assumed duties of president of the funeral home, and has continued the tradition of "Thoughtful Service." He worked alongside his father for many years, and is also a graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.

Today we lost one of your named Doc. I called Lyerly from the vet's office and they told me to go ahead and bring my pet to the offices. They escorted us room especially for pet cremations. They were so caring and compassionate. I love that they treated us as if he was a regular human member of the family. He nattered. It made everything easier during a hard time. I highly recommend them.

They don’t even deserve 1 star. I wasn’t pleased with them with my daughters funeral in 2016 and thought perhaps I wouldn’t have liked anyone involved in having to bury my daughter. However, I recently had to deal with them again and awful, just awful. Instead of getting an answer to a question, Deanna got snippy and yelled when I asked about something that made no sense. They did not communicate with me at all after I paid them for a service and what they did was 100% unforgivable.
Don’t allow them to play any part in a loved ones funeral.

There was never a question who to call when our mom passed. They took care of everything concerning the cremation..which saved us a lot of money..and it was done in a timely manner and with respect. Would recommend them to anyone.

My fursister passed away Thur n her vet where she had been a patient n groomed for 13 years wanted $300 to cremate her. I was at a loss because this is the 4th loss to our family this year n I was on my way to Glenn Kiser Hospice House. When I drove by Lyerlys I saw the word pet. I pulled over n called. Roger took very good care of Precious n we were treated with dignity n respect. The cost with urn was $50. The cost can sometimes be the difference in one's options. Just knowing Precious can be with my mom means the world to me. Roger n team Lyerly have my utmost respect n recommendation.

Wonderful people, true caring and compassion. At a difficult time, worry about cost was not what our family needed. The staff at Lyerly truly went above & beyond.
