Very poor communication skills here. I submitted an inquiry on his website about getting an iPad battery replaced. He responded asking for the model number. I gave him the model number and then he said that's not the model number and asked me to look for the number starting with A. I found it and emailed him back with that number and was never replied to again.

This is the 2nd time I went to get my cell phone repaired with 3RTEK. The first time was when I still lived in Albany so he was nearby. The 2nd time which was now, I came from Berkeley even with other cell phone repair shops being closer. Why? Alan is a very professional, hard working and respectful person. I am not much of an IPhone or Apple guy. In both cases I dropped a Galaxy Samsung Note and needed to repair a broken screen or the charging port. I was traveled to Berkeley over the weekend. I broke my iPhone screen and looking for a repair shop in the area. Lucky I found 3R Tek near me. I went there and took him 30 mins to replace the screen. It is a very good price. He also cleaned the dust inside my phone with no extra cost. I will always recommend this place who needs phone repair. The owner Alan is very nice guy and friendly.

I had a broken screen on an Iphone plus 7. ATT said fix it and they would give me a higher trade in on a new phone. Alan fixed it for $100 but it didn't work properly after the screen was replaced. Alan is a busy guy. It took him a few days to get back to me but then replaced or repaired the screen and it now works fine. I wrote an earlier review that was not good because Alan had not yet fixed the replacement screen.

I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, my one star is based on my disappointment with a component I feel is extremely important for any business: honesty. In short, this business owner lied.
I originally brought my phone in for a cracked screen. He fixed the screen, but I immediately began having problems with screen freezing. I brought the phone in again and he said his tech couldn't find a problem. He gave the phone back to me and said if the problem continued he would replace the screen a second time. Well, The screen kept freezing. I brought the phone back for a third visit

I have been dealing w a cracked iPhone XR screen for a few weeks and finally needed to get it repaired. Alan was fast, helpful and was able to get it done that day! Glad he has been able to stay open during COVID, it can be hard for small businesses but he did a great job!
I'll probably take my laptop there soon to get some work done too.
Tip: if you can, go on a weekday--weekends are busy for walk-ins.

Such a great experience! I had called around to so many places to get my LG phone screen fixed but every place said they only worked on iphones. I went into 3RTek, he ordered the new screen that day, and had it repaired after dropping it off for only a few hours! The phone is like new and I am so grateful. Thank you!!

Alan knows what he’s doing, he can quickly assess what the issue is with your phone and tell you what can be done to fix it. Unfortunately, when I first brought my phone to Alan, it was probably already Dead on Arrival and only had a slim chance to be revived. Nevertheless, Alan spent so much time on my phone, putting a lot of effort and time and dedication to it because I had really hoped to be able to recover my photos and data. He tried to research different ways to help me and to help fix my phone, at no extra cost to me. Alan tried his best and I’m grateful for his effort and expertise

Omg what a great shop. Fast, well done repairs, and as inexpensive as it can be. Educational, helpful, kind, polite. Marvelous wonderful gem. It's one genius guy. He immediately and correctly diagnosed the problem (cracked screen) and replaced it and protective glass within 1 hr, and educated me about using a better phone case (my case didn't have enforced corners so when phone dropped on its edge, it cracked easily). He showed me a better case, for sale, cheap. Overall I am thrilled, my phone is 100% operational again.

This guy Alan, knows his stuff and is very good with working with you about repairing your electronic device. At the same you gotta be understanding of any professionals time. He will tell you if it's worth repairing your device or not. That's what I appreciate about him. Since I like my devices, I see repairing them as worth his prices. In the end you pay what you get so I feel his price are worth it.

Need it repaired? Go here. The service is absolutely amazing. The man who runs 3RTEK replaced my S8's screen in under an hour, he had all the parts on hand, and it was incredibly seamless. This is absolutely astonishing for a screen that is notoriously expensive and hard to replace. Additionally, the total cost from going here was cheaper than just buying the part and replacing it myself. Very friendly and extensively suggested ways to keep my screen from getting cracked again, and even checked out my case to see if it was well designed. To my knowledge, he doesn't even sell cases. Excellent service. extremely courteous, pretty fast and very very competent. Not only was he more adept than the , ahem, clerks at the store w/the fruit logo, but his prices were about 1/2 . Trust this store, and the tech here. From now on, i only trust this guy with my phone. bonus points because i had to bring along my feisty toddler--and , again, very accommodating and helpful clerk. This place is pure cell repair GOLD.
