First, your glasses prescription will be determined. Then, the doctor will select trial lenses and evaluate your vision and the fit of the lenses. When combined with your exam, it will add about 10 minutes, but may be longer for first time wearers or those being fit in multifocal contacts. A comprehensive eye exam takes 45 minutes to one hour.

I used to see Dr. Sellers when she was at Advanced eye care and was super sad when my previous insurance changed and I had to switch doctors. I am however super excited that my new insurance provider is accepted by her office and that I can receive the care that I want. She is super kind and likeable, and makes you feel at ease. I'm glad my eyes are back in good hands again!

Optometrist tries to push dilated eye exam on patients. 1) Issue is it’s not covered by most insurances and patients have to pay out of pocket. Granted it’s relatively inexpensive (I think $35-$45) but still it may not be necessary in every patient. Especially in young healthy patients who do not have any risk factors. 2) it’s extremely dangerous for you to drive after you’re eyes are dilated - I personally had a motor vehicle accident after my eyes were dilated (I did have the sunglasses on!). They say eyes are only affected for few hours but that’s not the case for every patient as

Dr. Sellers and Allison at Eyepoint optometry have done an amazing job dealing with, not only myself and children, but my parents as well. Dr. Sellers is very knowledgeable and goes out of her way to make the patient feel very comfortable even when dealing with stressful situations. My father has glaucoma and my mother has diabetes and she was very good to work with each of them to manage their care in a way that was supportive and manageable for them. I highly recommend her and her team as a high-quality optometrist that cares about the patient and your needs.
