From her first steps on our 19-acre woodland campus, she will feel the difference. Teachers work together to challenge and support her in her studies, friendships and goals. Classes inspire her to think. Spaces empower her to dream, discover and do. Friends lift her up and make her laugh.

93% of girls' school grads say they were offered greater leadership opportunities than peers at coed schools and 80% have held leadership positions since graduating from high school. The Center for Girls prepares girls to be brave, resilient, global leaders by supporting the development of three essential pillars: wellness, social-emotional intelligence and leadership.
Services
Founded in 1907 by the Religious of the Sacred Heart, Forest Ridge educates and inspires girls and young women in 5th through 12th grades. Both a day and boarding private school located in Bellevue, Forest Ridge is the only Sacred Heart school in the Pacific Northwest. We are a Catholic, independent, college preparatory school, and a recognized pioneer in all-girls' middle school and high school education.
Service learning is a foundational Sacred Heart value and an integral part of the Forest Ridge experience. Our students embrace serving our community while having fun and connecting with other students both here and around the globe. There are many rewarding service opportunities at Forest Ridge that are designed to be age-appropriate for each grade level.
The mission of Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart is to educate young women to think critically, embrace challenges, model resilience, confront injustice, seek equality and lead globally in the pioneering spirit of our foundress. Our alumnae change the world. Our vision is uncompromising excellence in educating girls in the Sacred Heart tradition.
Since our founding in 1907, Forest Ridge has empowered girls to find their voices, inspired girls to discover their interests and prepared girls to lead with confidence, changing the world-one girl at a time.

Educating girls has never been more important than it is today, and our strategic framework paves a bold and brave path for our future as we work to deepen our commitment to our mission, expand our programming opportunities and establish ourselves as the premier independent girls' school in the Pacific Northwest.
We embrace the diversity of our international learning community with a commitment to open dialogue, risk-taking and challenges to the status quo.

At Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart we understand that in order for young women to be confident, empowered and responsible, we must provide safe learning spaces where understanding is fostered through open dialogue, trust is built though mutual respect, and risk-taking is valued among all members of our school community.

My daughter was treated kindly and as though she was highly valued as an incoming 6th grader during our school tours. We felt that our daughter would have been given small classes, individual attention, and a unique all girls perspective at Forest Ridge. The administration and teachers were teaching innovative things that my husband recently had emphasized in the corporate world. Each time my daughter had an experience with one of the FR students, she felt very happy and excited to attend this school. We ultimately are not able to send her to the school because of potentially moving closer

I wish I can say this school is worth the high tuition. Lots of staff turn over, inexperienced teachers, unqualified teachers, and now getting rid of the high school IB PROGRAM while the tuition keeps going up. This is the last year my daughter will attend this school. It has been a waste of investment and a rip off. I will be surprised if the school continues operations 10 years from now. Maybe the school will continue operations as long as they keep accepting foreign students that pay double the tuition when compared to resident students.

I attended 8th and 9th grade here too many years ago to mention. Let's just say it was so long ago that annual tuition was low four digits and that seemed like a lot of money at the time. It changed my life. Forest Ridge was the only school I attended until law school (and I went to a Barron's "most competitive" college) that forced me to work to potential. Thank you mom and dad. This was the best money you ever spent on me.
