Pali Ke Kua is a 22-acre resort condominium project located on the north shore of Kauai in Princeville. It sits on a bluff 200 feet above the ocean and has breathtaking views of the north shore's rugged green mountains and blue Pacific Ocean. The resort's 13 low-rise buildings offer vacation rentals in privately owned 1 and 2 bedroom condos.
A restaurant and swimming pool with hot tub and sun deck are also located on the property. A paved path leads from the resort down the bluff where lies a series of sandy beach "hideaways" including Pali Ke Kua Beach. The resort is adjacent Princeville Golf and a paved walking/bike path that accesses other Princeville amenities including the St. Regis Hotel just a short distance away and a small shopping center and restaurants.

Services
It is 30 miles from Lihue Airport to Pali Ke Kua and it takes about 50-60 minutes to drive when conditions are optimal. During rush hours, traffic slows down around Kapa'a adding as much as 45 minutes to the trip. If you are trying to catch a flight, plan on allowing at least 2 hours. Or, if you have a late flight, drive down to Lihue early do some last minute shopping, have dinner on the east side before taking your rental car back.

Pros: Stunning views, nicely-maintained landscaping, basic pool, good location, nice private beach (the walk back up the trail is pretty strenuous), good pizza restaurant.
Cons: older condos, but still nice. Condos get hotter as the day goes on, but cool off during the night if you have the slats open.

Some descriptions were misleading: said it was air conditioned but there was only AC in bedroom. Advertised fast internet but it was not available. Call to property management did not produce action. We could not deal with confirmations we had in emails because of lack of internet. Otherwise, it was a nice condo overlooking ocean and great area.

Pali Ke Kua Unit #217 is oceanfront and has awesome views of Bali Hai and beaches! Love the view!! Great snorkeling with private trail down to beach. The condo is nicely furnished with kitchen fully stocked. Having the washer/dryer was a plus for us. It was also stocked with beach chairs, boogie boards, and most anything you need for a day at the beach. We had no problems with noise from our neighbors. Easy access to Hanalei was nice too. Bet this unit will have great views for whale watching season! We will definitely be back.
