I was referred to Dr. Beshai by my personal physician for extreme pain in my thigh. I was not pleased by Dr. Beshai's demeanor. He came into my exam room angry and behaved in a totally unprofessional and rude manner. He did all of the talking. He is not a listener. He basically intimated that I was a pill/drug scammer. According to him, it looked as if I was going from doctor to doctor to score drugs. Wow. He told me I was probably there to play on his sympathy and get a fresh supply of pills. I have been a patient of Dr. Beshai's for about 2 years now and I know he is one of the best Physician's I have seen. I have suffered in pain for almost a decade and was always given the runaround, that was until I went to see Dr. Beshai and his team. My back aches daily. Some mornings just moving from bed to standing is a major effort. But after treatment I am completely amazed at the relief. Aches and issues I wasn't even aware that were nagging me until they dissppeared following injection. I would pass and find another Pain Management Doctor. As another reviewer stated I believe Dr. Beshai is only interested in charging for services and not helping the patient. He told me I needed to be seen by a pain management doctor at the Hoag Orthopedic Institute where my surgeon is located, seemed odd to me at the time since my Primary Care doctor referred me to Dr. Beshai. I went ahead and called Hoag and come to find out the Hoag Orthopedic Institute does NOT have pain management doctors on the staff. Confused why he would see me agree with me I needed to be under the care for of a pain management

As a physician, I was recommended Dr. Beshai by a colleague for my father. Horrible service from the front staff to the back including the physician himself. Lack of communication with patients, lack of proper documentation, lack of communication with insurance companies to get things approved. The man is interested in billing for procedures as opposed to treating pain properly. My professional opinion is to recommend avoiding him and his practice at all costs.

I walked into Dr Beshai's office in so much back pain I needed a cane to walk. I was told I needed surgery as soon as possible. But decided to try pain management first.
Dr Beshai was awesome..he went through my history and tests and said let's see what we can do to get you back on your feet.
He started injection procedures. He is gentle and professional and helped me feel at ease during my procedures .
I'm on my third series and he has me working with it pain and walking without a cane.
I highly recommend Dr Beshai !!

I am so disappointed in the services from Dr. Alfred J Beshai. He's extremely rude and treated my mom like a number. He was very minimal on explaining the procedure he was performing on my mom. When I asked questions he was irritated and answered me in a very condescending manner. When I provided feedback on how my mom was doing a few days later, he wanted nothing to do with it. I have been seeing Dr. Beshal for almost a year, and a spine surgeon for about 4 months.
When Beshal was asked by spine surgeon to preform another epidural on me it thru up his red flags and he advised me to take treatment to the next step, " a Neurosurgeon."

Making an appointment was fast and simple. The interview went well, and due to my extreme pain due to nerve problems, in the area of my Lombard region. The pain then radiated downward in my left leg......it felt like my shin was on fire if I stood on it for more than a few minutes.
The day of my appointment my interview went well, with Dr. Beshai having a warm personality and knowing the pain I was in, decided he would do the procedure that day. He explained the epidural procedure as he went along.

I was referred to the good Doctor, Dr. Beshai, by my orthopedic doc. I'm glad for the referral and treatment. I found Dr. Beshai to be kind and gentle and one of the better doctors I've crossed paths with. He explained the treatment for my herniated disc and I scheduled an appointment for treatment. Unfortunately I had a cellulitis infection and Dr. Beshai was concerned enough to advise we reschedule until the acute phase passed. I've found Dr. Beshai to be a more than an adequate medical professional and I highly recommend him! So schedule that appointment and get some relief!

If I could leave zero stars I would. At my first visit I was hopeful that I had found a Doctor that would help with my chronic pain and let me tell you I was so disappointed by my third appointment I have chose to no longer see this Dr.. Came to see Dr. Beshai for bulging disc in my lower back and severe pain sitting or bending to the point where it actually made me sick to my stomach. Dr Beshai performed a procedure for me and although the healing process took longer than explained to me once it was done the results were incredible!!! Edit: Dear Mr. DuVall, thank you for replying. Just to give a little more detail, what really hurt us was that 1. We came in telling him why we came, because we've had two epidurals already, to no effect. 2. The referred surgeon turned us down from surgery, and said to manage via pain management. What could we do today that would alleviate any of the pain as we're desperate. What is causing all the pain? And those were the two options Dr. Bashai gave us again, to get an epidural and get a referral to a spine surgeon. We said that's why we're here, those options didn't

Was skeptical at first since its so rare to see docs with 5 star reviews... but this office is just that good. I did some research on neck / back pain - pinched nerves and severe knots which led me to this doctor. Pain Management is a successful way to fix those muscle / nerve issues you can't sort out yourself alongside physical therapy...
This place really is everything it promotes itself to be. It's a beautiful, modern doctors office in one of the fanciest medical buildings in Lakewood.

Dr. Beshai and his staff at Mission in Lakewood are absolutely marvelous! They take such great care of every patient and person who walks in. They are timely, professional and most of all caring!
They are amazing with me and are understanding. They truly listen to every thing I try to explain.

Dr. Beshai is a fantastic pain management doctor. I was first referred to him for cortisone injections in my right hip to alleviate the pain I had prior to my full complex right hip replacement surgery.

I have suffered from chronic pain due to degenerative arthritis and fibromyalgia for years. Dr. Beshai has been a life saver for me. He really listens and takes his time with you thoroughly explaining the tests and option you have. Dr. Beshai always has the upmost respect, concern and privacy in mind for his patients. In a word, Dr. Beshai is tenacious! He works hard to keep me as pain free as he can. He takes his time to explain what is causing the pain and what he can do to make it better. I had seen another pain management provider for sciatic leg pain 5 years ago for epidurals and now being treated by Dr. Beshai, there is 100% difference comparing the two different providers. Dr. Beshai is a caring physician who listens to the patient and answers any and all questions. His front office staff are very friendly and polite. This Doctor is awesome. He is so friendly where he really takes an interest in your condition. He listens and doesn't hurry you in and out. The staff is friendly and kind. I have been suffering with low back pain for the past five years and have been to 3 different pain management specialists, unfortunately they were unable to relieve my pain. It got so bad last December and extended down my leg. I could not walk more than block. I was desperate. My doctor suggested Dr. Beshai. What a blessing this man is! Besides being caring and down to earth, he is an excellent diagnostician. After one epidural I had almost complete relief from pain. I cannot say enough about this man. He is my hero.
