Tamara Werner, counselor and eating disorder specialist is now working out of her group practice, Rebel Heart Therapy, in Portland, OR. I am now seeing clients out of my Portland group Practice, Rebel Heart Therapy, where I work with several therapists and therapist interns. At Rebel Heart, we specialize in working with the LGBTQ and poly communities but serve all people who feel comfortable at our practice.

You will be redirected to Rebel Heart to start the process. Anorexia is a restrictive eating disorder that traps people into a cycle of fear and self-hatred. It is a painful, isolating experience, but you are not alone. We see you, and we want to help. Our society values thinness and restriction, so people with binge eating disorder often live in fear, shame, and silence.

How do you describe the anxiety that drives you to binge and the guilt that drives you to purge?. The cycle of restriction, binge, and purge is exhausting. We are ready to help you identify how to interrupt that cycle and put an end to the obsessive thoughts, worry, and shame that accompany it. We understand what a big undertaking this is.
You may have a binge-eating disorder. Society misunderstands binge-eating disorder (BED), even though it is the MOST COMMON eating disorder. There are many myths about BED, and people suffer because of misinformation. Many counselors will prescribe weight-loss systems to their clients with BED, but not us.
First of all, we are so glad you are here and that you found your way to our services. It can be so hard for people to find a good eating disorder counselor who will be able to handle and treat the behaviors, thoughts, and feelings that can come along. When you are in the LGBTQ community it gets even harder.
