Craig Griffin Counseling
Providing treatment to life's challenges, behavior problems, depression, anxiety, trauma and addiction. As a counselor I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Image Transformation Therapy (ImTT) and Christ Centered Therapy (for those that request faith-based interventions).
Services
I specialize in treating teens with anger, addiction depression, anxiety, self-esteem and behavior issues. The typical adolescents I see are struggling in school, have been exposed to and use drugs and alcohol, have self-esteem and mood issues. Often they are in the midst of life changes like divorce, friends, school, family, finances and identity.
Teens are at a high risk for drug and alcohol use. They are naturally curious, prone to peer pressure and feel invincible to the negative effects. What seemed like harmless exploration can lead to destructive use. Using adds greater risks to life choices and consequences that will have lifetime impacts.
If your teen has broken trust with you, you may be worried sick, fearing the worst and feeling stuck. I can act as an anchor in a treacherous storm. Teens may not always feel free to be honest with parents but will open up to a neutral party. I will work with the teen and the parents to reestablish trust and repair the damage to the relationship.
Men are strong, work alone, get the job done and never show weakness. Works great in a Rambo movie but not so much in real life. I find that men spend a lot of time and emotional energy trying to be validated by others. Men can't share their need for validation, that'd make them look weak, so they grab risk free validation or something to numb the ache inside.
You might be here because you've tried everything and you're still acting out sexually. Your wife might have told you to get help or she's leaving. You hate yourself for sexually acting out but the only thing that makes you feel better is more acting out. A job loss, STD, arrest, divorce, crippling shame and a ship wrecked relationship with God are some of the reasons men seek me out.

I was searching for a new therapist/ counseling session for months until I stumbled up Craig and this was the best decision I had made by far. He not only spoke to me like a real person but he didn't treat any of my issues as if they were unimportant. I highly recommend
