Akimoto Landscaping was established in 1959 as George Akimoto Gardening, This was a time when gardeners took care of your yard, they mowed the lawn, trimmed shrubs, weeded beds, planted flowers and repaired sprinkler systems. George turned this business over to his son Dennis in the mid 80's. This business "Akimoto Lawn and Yard" successfully ran for 13 years and was sold when other opportunities lured the owner Dennis away.
After a 3 year stint as a Network analyst in the late 90's and the resulting tech industry downturn Akimoto Sprinklers was reborn with a strong emphasis on sprinkler repair and installation. Akimoto Sprinklers is dedicated to providing honest, professional and timely service. We are priced competitively and take pride in doing things right the first time.

Services
If larger issues are found we will contact you and give you an estimate before we move forward with the repair. Typically if your system has around 4-8 stations and the only repairs necessary are adjusting or repairing spray heads. Your total amount will be the minimum Labor of $90.00 plus materials.

They were quick to come out and replace leaky valves, but did as little as possible. Even though there was a flooded patch of lawn a foot away from the valve box, they didn't investigate, or test the sprinklers to see if they shut off correctly. Paid for 2 service calls, still not fixed but unwilling to pay more than the $285 already charged to replace 3 valves. No other work performed..
They don't tell you when they finish, just leave the invoice in the door. Then put a pre mechanics lien on your home 4 days later-if you mail in a check it could take that many days...

I was just looking this company up to send them a text for some more work I need done, saw the bizarre low star reviews and felt the need to put in a good word. I used them once last year for a winterization and this year I needed to replace all my sprinklers valves as they were quite old and leaking. Used these guys to fix our sprinkler system. Quoted all the places around us and they were not only the best priced, but the most knowledgeable. Dennis came out and talked us though the problem, really explained how it was working and always answered my text messages. They did a great job replacing our backflow that were having them do our entire backyard! 100% recommend!!

Criminals! They came to fix a valve, broke the key to my stop and waste, said it wasn't their fault and left. Seriously!!! My sprinklers worked when they showed up, they leave and I have no ability to water my lawn and am looking at a 1,000 dollar price tag to fix their mistake while needing to dig up my entire front lawn. Dennis should be in jail!!

Ryan and Train showed up right on the expected scheduled time and went right to work, finding the long buried valve box and replaced two of the defective station valves, then went ahead and replaced defective heads and miscellaneous lines long neglected and worn out over time.
Both were extremely courteous, worked very hard in very hot temperatures, and did a fine job of restoring the non working stations to where I can now water down part of the cliff facing City Creek Wildlife Refuge to protect my house if a wildfire should start below us.

These guys were great! Quick response, switched to text quickly after playing a little phone tag, pricing was reasonable, and Perry was very friendly, professional, and efficient both in his assessments and his work. Looking forward to having them do a little more work rerouting a couple of sprinklers that we need moved as we've installed a playset and trampoline that are blocking some sprinkler locations that predate our purchase of the home. Would absolutely recommend!

We called a few weeks ago on a Tuesday and they were able to schedule us for Friday. They were on time. They were polite and friendly. They identified the issue, repaired it, and then told me that a few other issues would crop up because we had used shark clips and they’d happily replace those if we wanted them to, and told me the cost. They worked hard and quickly and even back filled the hole my husband dug out. I felt really bad that it rained on them as they were finishing up, but they were delighted (it has/had been REALLY HOT).

I hired Dennis from Akimoto sprinklers to fix a leak in our sprinkling system and to cap off a portion of sprinklers. This all happened just before winter. When we turned the sprinklers on after the winter season the area where they capped off our sprinkler is leaking. We called and asked them to come take a look and fix it. They are not picking up my phone calls or responding to any of my messages. I spent around 600 dollars for their service. I will now have to pay someone else to come fix it.
