Dr. Rkein is a board certified dermatologist in Gilbert AZ and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgeon. With his extensive training, he is committed to providing patients with the highest quality dermatologic and surgical care, utilizing the most recent medical advances. Dr. Rkein grew up in Michigan and received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Arizona State University.
Dr. Hill attended Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She was a National Merit Scholar and also enjoyed being a student athlete playing NCAA Division III volleyball while at Bethel. She attended medical school at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha honor society during her final year.
Dermatology deals with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the skin, hair, nails and mucous membranes. As medical doctors, dermatologists are experts in problems affecting these areas of the body. While encompassing aspects of internal medicine, rheumatology and pediatrics, the dermatology specialty includes rashes, growths, discoloration and other lesions of the skin that require medical attention.
Acne is an inflammation of the hair follicles and oil glands in certain areas of the body (face, back, chest) that occurs most frequently in adolescence. It is manifest as blackheads, papules, pus bumps, painful nodules and cysts. Discolored patches and pitted or depressed scars may follow all types of acne, but especially the more severe cases.
Actinic Keratosis (AK) are single or multiple, dry, rough scaly lesions that occur on the habitually sun-exposed skin of adults. They begin to appear in adulthood and are more common in men and those with fairer complexions. Outdoor workers are particularly more susceptible, particularly in the Desert Southwest.

I’ve been to five other dermatology offices and this one is by far the best I’ve been to. I’ve been going here for four years and they are always on time, but still take their time with you. Their staff is organized and thorough. There’s nothing I can complain about and considering that I was getting annual and now biannual skin checks, I’m in here quite a bit so I extra appreciate that they are so great to me.

Desert Sky Dermatology is an excellent facility! Appointments are available and easy to book. The clinic is easy to find and lots of parking; it is always clean and we’ll staffed. The office staff are friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help. Dr. Hannah Hill has a excellent chair side manner. Is easy to talk to and listens to my concerns. She explains things well and her medical recommendations I feel are spot on. I would definitely recommend her if you’re looking for a great dermatologist.

I really appreciate the staff here, from the front reception area, the medical assistants and my doctor. Dr Hill has been wonderful. She is a doctor you can feel, cares which is so hard to come by. She has been patient, kind and most of all she always listens to everything. She is very busy but never makes you feel rushed. I feel so comfortable with her and that has been very difficult with other dermatologists. I also don't ever feel.pressured which was my experience with my past 2, they were constantly upselling to the point that you felt that was all that mattered. I'm really thankful for finding

I saw Ty for a year while on medication for my face. He is a kind person and great provider. He really listened to my concerns and worked with me to get my skin to where it's at today. I have been off the medication for over a year and I'm happy to say I don't have to wear makeup. The MA's and the front office staff were always friendly as well. I wouldn't hesitate to return for any skin issues.

Cannot say enough great things about Desert Sky Dermatology. My insurance accepted, minimal wait times, efficient check out system, convenient location, and great doctors. I went in for keloid treatment and am absolutely satisfied with the results. My scar is completely flattened with no more irritations for a few months now.

First visit, overall very good experience. The staff is friendly and seemed to listen and be concerned. The only issue was the level of noise while at the check in and check out areas, quite loud, lots of people, very busy and just made it difficult to answer questions and schedule appointments. But overall very happy with this health care provider.

Finally went here to get a spot looked at. The staff was friendly and helpful. This location is deceptively large. Couldn't believe what a large facility they have. My dermatologist, Ty Nielson, was super friendly and very upbeat; which is nice when you are concerned about a skin issue. Unfortunately, my results came back cancerous. Again Ty reassured me that it was the most treatable, and everything should be fine. I'll update my review after my treatment.

I had my first visit at Desert Sky Dermatology today. The whole appointment was flawless, from my check in at the front desk to the MA who took me back, to the provider (Ty Nielson), to my check out and payment.
The clinic is modern and comfortable and clean. It gives you a sense of professionalism but also welcoming And non-intimidating. I was treated kindly, and professionally, and thoroughly.
