IL Porto Ristorante
The original owner of the building which is now IL PORTO RISTORANTE was a retired Sea Captain. He constructed the building like his ship - sturdy and sound in wall and beam. He stocked it with silk from the Far East, silver from Spain, jewels from England and France and - to his misfortune - a valued family heirloom of one of his customers.

The unhappy customer had the Captain arrested and tried in the town square. As a result of the Captain's quick demise, the building had a new owner, Madame LeCleaque who turned it into a House - not a home! Business was brisk until a pesky customer shot the Madame and her girls fled into the night.

Quaint Italian restaurant. Service was quick. Food was delicious. Recommend the Basil smash.

Delicious food. Plate sizes are smaller than expected but not tapas or appetizer size. In Italian restaurants we can grow accustomed to very large entrees, but they are more moderately sized here. It's an expensive are to have a restaurant so I do not hold it against them. Great service and tasty food. Worth a trip!

This is the second time that I have eaten here. This time I am not a fan of cream/white sauce. I like tomato sauce base more. The customers should have an option to have cream or red sauce. Would be nice if I could had more seafood in my pasta. My husband food was the special was very good.

We decided on IL Porto Ristorante for my friend's birthday and all I can say is that the experience was unpleasant. When we first arrived we noticed that the restaurant wasn't that busy, and waited a few minutes as no one came to seat us. When we were finally sat and started ordering, our waitress rushed us throughout our whole stay, asking if we wanted boxes when we weren't close to being done. During our dinner service we noticed a complaint coming from another customer that they saw mouse.. we then watched for any mice and ended up seeing two mice on multiple occasions running

I'll Porto continues to be a stalwart of fine Italian dining in the greater Old Town area. In particular, Emilio stands out, with his table side service & recommendations. A great call for any visitor to the region.

Had dinner here on Christmas Eve. Our server Rocky was amazing and the right level of attentiveness. Made sure bread was on table nice and hot as well my water was always full. The atmosphere was like I was in Italy. Food was delicious. Wish I didn't fill up on the appetizers and bread prior to the entree but allowed me ro have some take home food. I will be back for sure.

Welcome to Italy. Walk inside and you will see what started as an Italian restaurant ages ago, This is small and quiet. It is perfect if you visit alone or come with a larger group. It is ideal.

When you receive the menu you will have a variety of entrees and meal to enjoy. Start with an antipasto. It is new, fresh and different. It has cheese, salami, peppers, olives, and more. With fresh Italian bread it is something to start with.

We then had a main entree. There were various pastas to select. There was also veal, fish, chicken, and more. Even a lasagna was an ideal meal to select. It was

Lasagna was decent not great. Not horrible. Sauce was a little off and too much ricotta.
Tiramisu size for $9 was a bit steep. I don’t care usually but this is ridiculous
Probably not returning.

If you're looking for great Italian food with an original atmosphere and humble service, Il Porto is the place to be. My husband wanted a lasagna dish and we found a great one. The kids (young adults) and grandkids loved it as well. Say hello to Lou and Javier when you get there. They're great.

Classic Italian, complete with true, old country hospitality! My meal was FANTASTIC! Had the chicken marsala. Epic! Fresh baked bread, comes to your table warm! Wonderful house salad. Everything you want in a lovely dining experience. Lou the manager was a great host, with a warm sincere smile. Go here, you won’t be sorry!

We visited Il Porto to celebrate my in-laws’ 56th wedding anniversary. Service and entrees were amazing- from the warm bread and butter to the spumoni at the end of our meal! We can’t wait to return- thank you for the memorable dining experience!

Nothing impressed me at all. The space is definitely too small for the amount of people the cram in. Our waiter had no personality at all. He gave a very clear indication, that he did not want to be there. The food was decent. Nothing to rave about.

My sister made a reservation for us, and when we arrived (on time) we had to wait roughly 15 minutes for a table to open up. We get it- it was crowded, and it was a busy day, although one does expect to be seated in less time if one has a reservation.

Once we got seated (outdoor), service was incredibly slow; we waited 5 minutes for water, and when our server finally did come to our table, I was disappointed that we weren't told about any of the daily specials, they went straight to taking our order (I realized afterwards I didn't hear about any daily specials). My sister ordered the

Went here for brunch. Tried their Crab Cake Benedict which is served on a biscuit with roasted potatoes. Also ordered a seafood pasta and the pasta noodles are really long.
Everything was nice and well seasoned.
They have outdoor seating too on a very busy street surrounded by bars and restaurants.
You also get a complementary bread to start with.

Visited here with several friends to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant was very busy and although we had reservations we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated which was non problem. When we got seated our waiter Jesus came over right away to deliver the menus and take drink orders. After that it took thirty minutes for him to come back to take our meal orders, then it too another thirty minutes to get our food. Busy is one thing, but having to wait an hour twenty minutes for food is just way too long. I ordered the Pollo Siciliano and it was really good. The fried eggplant on top of the

My husband and I came out for dinner to meet friends for a friend's birthday. We had reservations at seven on Saturday night for a party of eight and were seated on the upper level towards the back in the corner. They must have known we would be a loud group and we were. Lol. Note, outdoor seating is available.

Service was great. They accommodated my husband's request for Chicken Piccata as they only had Veal Piccata on the menu. The kitchen was slow though bringing out the last entree for the birthday girl. We had to wait a few minutes for hers before we ate.

We started our evening

The pros: Il Porto is an absolutely beautiful building and the service was very attentive. Each meal also comes with salad and bread so you do get a considerable amount of food for the price.
The cons: We had a party of 4 and each ordered a different entree having spaghetti and meatballs, ravioli, pesto tortellini, and manicotti between us. All entrees were fine but weren't anything to write home about as we each found our meals to be bland and lacking in flavor.

I wanted to give this place 4 stars just because the service was so good but I just couldn't bring myself to rate a restaurant

First and foremost, the food is excellent. I came here for brunch, got the crab cake Benedict which was phenomenal, the mimosas were great, and the chicken parmigiana was full of flavor. Absolutely will come back here for the food all day. However, it felt like the staff was a little disorganized. We didn't know where to go to. e greeted and was waiting around for a little bit without getting helped. They were slightly busy, but not enough to impede them from interacting with guests. Other than that, the staff was polite and we had no other issues. Give this place a try!
