I came here for food couple weeks ago and I have celiac. They were very knowledge, the server even came back and let me know something I ordered had bacon that they made in a shared frier- I live for this because no one ever does it. Not only that but the taco was banging and the house tequila went down easy. My friend had a mixed drink and loved it too. Have since ordered 4 times and will be back soon. Very yum and friendly.

My first and definitely not my last time here. My biggest compliments goes to the food and drinks because both were STELLAR! I decided on trying the fried avocado and bubba gump shrimp tacos and both were simply delicious. At first I had a regular margarita which wasn't that good and then as I looked over, I noticed a holiday list of speciality drinks. Well, I was sure glad that I did because the peppermint margarita was the BEST I've ever had! I cannot stop raving about this because of their use of real candy cane on the rim of the glass. I've been to Don Taco twice and the tacos are legit. Both times the service was amazing. My tacos were amazing the first time and they were decent the second time. Food is fresh. Service is stellar. Margaritas are so good! Guac is top tier! Elote made my taste buds dance. I would def recommend. The whole area is super cool and seems like a hub for millennials as we sauntered the streets with so much energy! This place is a vibe! Definitely give it a try!

Starting to think Old Town Alexandria is a food mecca. I really haven't been disappointed in anything I've had around here. And the record remains. Don Taco was delicious. Our server was on point and clearly explained the tacos are only about 2 to 3 bites in size, which is mostly accurate. Tried several different types of tacos, Guac, Jalapeño Margarito, and Tres Leches. All of it was super on point. As others have noted, there's a 90 minute limit to hanging around, and since the notice is posted everywhere, I assume they would. I left of my own accord around that mark with no suggestion to do

ALL of the Taco selections were great ! You can't go wrong there ... the queso was a bit salty, however, the guacamole was super fresh! The service was swift and pleasant, with multiple servers frequently checking in on us. Keep in mind there is a 90min dining time, but we didn't feel rushed at all.

Came here for a girls night and the staff was very friendly. The wait was a while. Almost an hour but apparently there is a time limit on the table. I got a mix of tacos and a drink (whiskey and diet) overall tacos will always have a soft spot in my heart, food was enjoyable and I will be going back

This is what $37.00, before taxes, fees and tip (through Uber Eats) looks like at Don Taco. The flavor wasn't bad but they are overpriced. We ordered the side of spanish rice - barely a cup of rice ($4.50), the steak quesadilla ($12.50) - small, soggy, and swimming in grease, and 5 tacos - barely the size of my very small palm ($4.00 each). My honest opinion, mostly tasty but not worth the money. There are too many other good options out there, at reasonable prices, so this is a skip for me, in the future.

This place was on my hit list and did not disappoint. They have a 1.5 hour limit on dining which isn't too bad. That's about average for establishments of this size trying to keep things moving. And with the street taco sizes they serve, it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Drinks were great. The taco variety is enough to please anyone. The elotes were hot and delicious. Maybe a tad high for an ear of corn but its quality. The tacos aren't massive but filling. I'd recommend maybe 3-4 if you're hungry plus a side. It was lunch time so we chose 3 then added one more

Alexandria is a hard place to find a meal on mondays for some reason. We got lucky with Don Taco! Our service was excellent and the vibe of the restaurant was fun.
My house margaritas were amazing and strong. My niece got the cheese quesadilla and devoured it in moments. I enjoyed the spinach and cheese empanadas which was full of flavor, the Mexican corn which was huge and well seasoned, and the steak and mushroom taco which was done traditionally and cooked perfectly.
A testament to the amazingness of Alexandria!

I found this place on Yelp and decided to dine here tonight. This place does not take reservations. So when we got there at 7:30, luckily we had a table ready.
The menu has many veggie options, so that was a plus for me.
Here is what I ordered:
- Chips and Guacamole and Salsa: these were different orders, so you pay for guacamole and salsa separately. Both were yummy. I wish the guacamole was a bit spicy, but yummy regardless.
- Spicy Shroom Taco: this was good but a bit bland for me.
- Fried Avocado Taco: loved this as well.
- Cauliflower Tempura Taco: my favorite of the three I ordered

This place was soo good. The customer service was so good all the waiters and waitresses were so polite and they were on point with the refills with the tortillas with the salsa with the guacamole everything the service was on point. What else was very good was the tasty food so I have believed I've had about seven tacos the best one that I had was the forest bubba shrimp taco and that was some kind of good there are some other ones that I had the mushroom the cauliflower the grouper and they were all very tasty but the forest of shrimp taco was the best to me. So glad they're open during the pandemic. They keep their numbers appropriate but their booths are already perfect for social distancing because they go to the ceiling. Like most restaurants, you scan a card on the table to open the menu on your phone and each table has hand sanitizer.

This place was amazing! My friend and I came for dinner and I absolutely loved the atmosphere. The food was great, I like the small plates. Their cocktails are also amazing. We made a reservation so we had no issue getting a table.
Parking can be a bit of a hassle so plan ahead. It's mostly street parking and you may have to walk a bit.

Was in the mood for tacos on a Sunday night and found this place via Google. There was a 30 mins wait due to social distancing measures they had in place. I was happy to wait for safety purposes and because the plates of the people dining outside looked really good!
The portion sizes were HUGE! The guacamole could have lasted me until breakfast the following morning if I wasn't determined to clean the plate. The rice bowls were stacked with food.
