Mama Massage
When I was pregnant with my daughter Lucia I couldn't find a massage therapist who felt comfortable with my body changing and could give me a "real" massage. They were afraid to give me a firm enough massage so I could feel some relief and get the support I needed. I talked with other prenatal women and they felt the same frustration.

So after Lucia was born, I decided to also birth a new business. I changed my regular massage practice into a niche --- Mama Massage. Specializing in pre and postnatal care and tune-ups for tired Mamas. Twenty-five years and many, many Mama Massages later, I can still say I love my work. It is such a pleasure to support women through such a sacred and sometimes challenging journey of bringing new life into the world and being a Mama.

Christina is an angel! My husband surprised me with biweekly prenatal massages last year. It was like floating on a cloud with the most amazing healing massage I've ever experienced. Just the thought of her massage puts me in a relaxed state. My goal was to get postpartum massages but I unfortunately I moved. So just dream about going back! Highly recommend Christina for all stages of your pregnancy for a vacation to relaxing mama town! She is a wonderful soul with a beautiful angel face!

I am brimming with bliss and gratitude after my massage with Christina! I felt her seasoned skill with regards to the complexities of pregnancy massage, and it was one of the best massages ever. Thank love her sweet studio which feels like a temple to the divine feminine. Two air purifiers helped me to feel extra comfortable during this time.

Best massage I have EVER had!!! I
Found her at 33 weeks and seriously a t to have more kids just to experience this again!!! It was 90 min of pure bliss! I am a mom of a toddler and another on the way so let's just say I have so much pain and aches this pregnancy. She seriously made me forgot I'm even pregnant! I feel like totally normal! And omg you can lay on your belly! I would have paid double just to be able to do that! She listened to my problem areas and really took the time to focus and help

My first prenatal massage at 35 weeks... Christina was so sweet and welcoming. Her massage room is a wonderland filled with positive energy. I love that she spent time with me to discuss my basic health profile and how essential oils can be used therapeutically. The massage was thoughtful, balanced, calming, restorative and such a pleasurable experience. She really gives you 150%! A true prenatal massage expert. I'm coming back and telling all my pregnant friends!

As someone that has worked in the wellness industry for well over 10 years I must say I feel so blessed to have found Christina during my pregnancy. I am nearing the end and my husband knew mommy-to-be needed some serious TLC after finding out my baby is definitely not ready to debut on her “due date” and that my Dr. may have to induce. Needless… this was not in my “plan”.
My husband found Mama Massage and booked the appointment that afternoon. Christina’s space is warm and inviting. Smells delicious and immediately made me feel relaxed. She welcomed me in and

Hands down the best prenatal massage. Being able to lie belly down for a blissful 90 minutes is worth it right there, but Christina is also intuitive, thoughtful, conscientious, magical. Her space is warm and cozy. It's soooooo relaxing and healing and that's what mama needs. Self care.

I will start by saying I am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to massage therapists. I found Christina half way through my first pregnancy. Prior to finding her, I suffered through annoying prenatal massages where the therapists treat you like you're about to break and don't do any serious work. I like deep tissue stress/pain relief massage and Christina knows exactly how to do that while being mindful of the spots on your body to avoid. Her table is wonderful - there are adjustable cut outs for your chest and tummy. Towards the end of my pregnancies I would so look forward to my time

Christina is a real angel. I have been seeing her myself for several years and referring my pregnant yoga students and childbirth education class students to her. She is aligned with my philosophy that every woman has within her the wisdom, skills, and power to birth her baby in a way that is deeply meaningful and supported.
I have loved Christina's use of essential oils, and the variety of techniques she uses that deeply relax my nervous system. I treasure her and highly recommend her!

Christina is a truly wonderful massage therapist. I first went to her when I was 37 weeks pregnant with some serious aches and pains. It's not easy to find prenatal massage, but Christina fit me in when she heard how uncomfortable I was. She has a lovely studio space in the French Quarter in San Rafael. Upon meeting Christina, she was warm and nurturing and clearly passionate about caring for mamas in need. And I can't say enough about her amazing belly massage table - that was the first time I'd been able to lay on my stomach in months!! She also uses the most delicious essential

Awesome experience at Mama Massage! They took great care of my 15 month old while I got some much needed relaxation and an absolutely excellent prenatal massage. I loved the atmosphere in the lounge area and my daughter had a blast in the clean and bright children's play area! Thanks for a wonderful massage! I'll be back again for sure!!

Hubby got me a mama massage as a birthday gift. The only complaint....I should have used this at 25 weeks when I got it as opposed to waiting until 38.5 weeks That way I could have squeezed in more sessions!!

Christina is wonderful. She's very inviting and down to earth. She creates a space that is comfortable and relaxing and feels like home. I loved speaking with her about the various essential oils and their benefits. She really knows how to pamper mamas!

And the massage...heavenly. I agree with the others who have had previous massages that lack enough pressure to really get the kinks

Most incredible prenatal massage you'll ever get! Christina has such great energy and is so talented. I always feel refreshed when I leave- as if she helped me hit the reset button on my body.

The ability to be on your belly with her special table is also out of this world. I wish I could see her daily ;)

This is my first prenatal massage at 38 weeks. All I can say is that Christina is amazing! I would go even if I'm not pregnant. Not a moment of disappointment. She gives a very calm and peaceful aura. I can feel my body just melt into the awesome special pregnant massage table that allows me to lay face down. The essential oils are great quality and not over powering. Christina really works the knots and soreness out of your muscles. I felt so relaxed during the whole process.

90 minutes of pure bliss!!!!

The belly bed is key (hadn't laid face down in 6 mos!) and Christina is incredible. I also love that she uses top-quality essential oils and has over 20 yrs of experience. I'm also a fan of her 90-min appts within 2-hr time slots, so you don't feel rushed whatsoever.

She also does home visits for post-natal massages! As for now, I'm almost wishing this pregnancy with twins would go 50-60 wks so I can keep getting her magical pregnancy massages!

She also works on daddies and the kid-free, btw.

Christina is amazing!! Bottom line.

I was about 6 months pregnant and my back was killing me. I need some help immediately. I called a bunch of places, and only Christina was willing to come in on Christmas Eve morning to help me out. I have been going to see her ever since.

She works out of a small studio in San Rafael (right off the Central SR exit in the French Quarter). The studio has a couple of chairs, a restroom (very necessary for expecting mamas!!), and a massage table. She uses the type of table with a cut out for your growing belly. She can adjust the cut out depending on how big

Christina is amazing, her energy, knowledge and all round presence was so genuinely calming. This was the best decision I've made this far in my pregnancy, after packing up my house and moving I needed someone to take care of me, and that is exactly what Christina did !!
I will for sure be coming back for a monthly tune up!! I recommend her to any expecting mommies..:)

I didn't know it at the time, but the smartest decision I made when I got pregnant was committing to a series of prenatal massages with Christina. At the time, I thought I was being indulgent, but as my pregnancy progressed and I got bigger and bigger, I found my monthly massages kept me balanced and in touch with my body. For me, these massages became equal parts physical and emotional therapy and weren't at all indulgent but necessary.

In addition to your prenatal pills and OB appointments, Christina should be a requisite part of any pregnancy and postpartum routine. I can imagine

I saw Christina last week for a prenatal massage. I can honestly say it was one of the best massages I've ever had! I was almost 35 weeks in my pregnancy and was a little concerned I was too far along and that the massage would be "wimpy" since I had gotten a prenatal massage at a different massage place (Massage Envy) and it was super soft, way too gentle and didn't really do much for me. Many massage therapists seem afraid to go too deep.

Christina definitely knows what she's doing. Her massage skills are amazing - it was just deep enough that I was a little sore

Christina is wonderful! Her space in the French Quarter is so comfortable and inviting and her table is heavenly! And the sweet Lavender heart pillows she makes are beautiful and adorn the space in a special way...
I have had hundreds of massages over the years, since I am in the same business and I also teach massage - Christina hands down is one of the top Therapists that has worked on me.

She is highly trained in deeper massage techniques as well as in more gentle touch and cranio sacral work. I love that she combines those styles for a deeply therapeutic, yet soothing and nurturing experience
