Excellent variety of seafood and meat.
The atmosphere of the place is excellent, like a kind of bar or beach market, full of decorative details and with a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
The food is incredible, with very good fish and seafood dishes, and the addition of meats with options to eat them in unusual formats such as tataki.
The attention is very good and very friendly, and they are super fast in service.
There are usually bands playing live which is not a place to go if you are looking for a quiet dinner.
It is ideal to go with friends to drink beer and enjoy various well-prepared

We haven’t left this place yet but it’s so good we need y’all to know. We were starving and couldn’t find anywhere else local to eat on a Sunday after 10pm so we drove 10 miles from Anna Maria to this place. Don’t let the dive bar vibe fool you. This food is amazing. Fresh. Well seasoned. Piping hot. We got blackened grouper tacos, famous crabby balls 🤤 and the Cajun grouper bites. All of it was incredible. We love Steve and we will be back to visit from Tampa. We topped it all off with a pineapple upside down cake shot and it was perfect. See y’all soon at The Clam.

First visit to Cortez Clam Factory. It was a pretty typical bar/restaurant layout. Looked to have rather extensive outdoor seating although we opted to sit inside. Band had just wrapped up which made for a far more enjoyable evening as we could chat.
Service got off to a bit or a rocky start, but they redeemed themselves. We stood at the front for a considerable length of time, being passed by several staff members and after being unacknowledged ultimately just found a table ourselves. Eventually a server found their way to our table. Once we got rolling the service was pretty good.

This place is a gem! It’s very neighborhood like bar and restaurant. Reminds me of Cheers bar in Boston! They have great oysters on the half shell and I had whole bellied clams! I would only change the batter on the clams to a lighter batter so you can enjoy the full flavor of the clams. The French fries are great and seasoned perfectly. Our waitress/ bartender Christine was so attentive and friendly to everyone even though she was the only one waiting tables and making drinks. The Owner is a lucky person to have Christine!! Music Friday, Saturday and Sunday outside on the patio!!
