We love local farms so much that we have a dedicated "farmers chef" who is devoted to seeking produce from local farmers. If available and in season, we get it! Living in Los Angeles is great, so going organic, pesticide-free, ordering fair trade foods, no waste, and leave no trace practices are important to us, as we strive to have more sustainable catering practices.
We gave About Thyme short notice for a small cocktail party. John Kinderman was professional, gracious and enthusiastic as he helped us plan the party. He and his staff arrived on time and from that moment on, I knew we were in good hands. The food was incredible, one appetizer as incredible as the previous one.

About Thyme has done it again! I enjoyed a lovely lunch and dinner at the Pasadena Garden Club May 1st from About Thyme. Ginger Glazed Salmon over sesame soba noodles. It was delicious. Then, I was thrilled to see John and his team Cater the Pasadena educational Foundation at the Pasadena City Hall a week later, these are huge events in Pasadena, usually done by local caterers. These guys are taking over, and I couldn’t be more thrilled! Of course, the food is always on point. The best catered food out there really, but the artistry of the display of food is phenomenal. To go along with that

About Thyme catered a small dinner and large luncheon for my family last weekend. John was great to work with before and during the event. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with every aspect of the event and he exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, the staff was courteous and John was a pleasure! Most importantly, everyone loved the food! Excellent job!

I have been to catered events my whole life, and have never had food that good. The salmon was the best I’ve ever had, better than when my family went on a cruise to Alaska. Fresh and simple with leeks, lemon, capers, and tomato. Hands down the best caterer In LA! Thank you Michael and About Thyme, I can't wait for the opportunity to use you again.
