Capone's Italian Pizza has finally made it out west after 49 years of being on Hollywood Beach. John Capone opened Capone's Italian Pizzeria, located just west of I-95, on Hollywood Boulevard. He decided it was time for the Hollywood locals to have a place closer to their homes away from the beach.
So with some help from family and friends a new restaurant was born. Boasting the original family pizza recipe and family atmosphere, Capone's Pizzeria has all your favorite Italian dishes and more. Capone's has been able to recreate some classic Italian dishes such as Sunday Gravy, Homemade Lasagna, And Gnocchi Pomodoro.

I wanted to love it here so bad since I like to frequent family-owned businesses. We ordered a large pizza which was ready much later than the online ordering said. The pizza itself almost tasted good, but the crust absolutely kills it. It is dry, tough, and chewy to the point where my teeth actually hurt. We won't be back unfortunately.

We have never had a bad experience till Christmas Eve. I catered my food from here and it was supposed to be ready at 4 and it wasn't ready till 5. When we got the food home my Vodka pasta was very watery and my Chicken Marsala had no flavor at all. I understand being short staffed but when you place your order a week ahead of time, it should have been ready and delicious

Welp this manager got the right customer to piss off. Unfortunately I'm a hotel restaurant manager. On 11/27/21 at 11pm I walked in to order Togo food. An hour passed by and no food, long story short our server was new and she made a mistake. It happens. We just asked for a discount for the wait and since our food was cold and I got the attitude of a sorry excuse for a manager. He expressed to me that "I shouldn't expect hot food since I'm ordering to go". The fact of the matter was I was sitting in the restaurant waiting for the food! He should've gave me a discount

My daughter went in on November 23 at about 6pm to order a pizza and mozzarella sticks. She waited and waited for the pizza and finally asked if it was coming. The guy picked up her mozzarella sticks and threw them against the wall and told her to get the hell out !!!!!!!! What the heck kind of a business is that. We were there vacationing and get treated that way just for ordering a pizza. You all need to stay away from that psycho place.

I seriously wonder how this place got the ratings it has because they don't know how to make a pizza. Most of the reviewers here are either paid or their friends and family. I ordered two pizzas from here and they tasted bland. I mean I couldn't tell whether I was chewing on sausage vs chicken except for the texture. The crust was harder than it should be. Did they forget to add salt?
On top of all this, my order was 25 minutes late! Definitely one of the worst takeout experiences for subpar quality food. If you don't know how to make pizza then Stop Selling Them! Maybe they are trying to cater

I'm paranoid so I called to confirm immediately but they don't know about the order until the day of?!?
I called the day of to confirm and they confirmed the time
Pizzas and a few apps for the office
Asked for plates & napkins which they provided
Everyone liked the pies and apps
No complaints on the pizza and a few people even asked for the name of the restaurant
Delivery promptness is the only issue
I asked for noon and they came around 12:30-12:40 since they said they were busy when I called a bit after

The best soups in the area! I wanted some minestrone soup for lunch the other day however it was still cooking so decided to try the tortellini! It was absolutely amazing! The tortellini was tasty and monstrous! The vegetables were fresh, definitely a made from scratch soup. I was absolutely stuffed after one cup!
I ended up going back to get the Minestrone for dinner! This is absolutely the best Minestrone We have ever had! Again, the vegetables were freshly sliced and plentiful! Personally I don’t think you’ll be disappointed if you try this,

All I can say is WOW! Their food is amazing to be a hole in the wall pizza joint. I had egg plant parmesan and it was CERTIFIED FIRE. Also had 2 slices of their pizza (AWESOME). Huge garlic rolls melt in your mouth too. Service was great despite them giving me the wrong order. They more than made up for it with their service though and did I mention their great food. I'll be back!

Went here a couple of nights ago with friends when they were about to close. My friend order the calamari which was pretty decent and a burger. I shared a pizza which was also okay, crust was a little crispy and hard. If you're looking for a place to eat late night on weekend, it's probably one of the best.

Felt like getting pizza, decided on a medium Meat lovers from Capone's. Picked it up, and it was heavy. Didn't know why until I got it home and opened it. That pie was LOADED, huge amounts of pepperoni, sausage, ham, bacon, sliced meatballs. Jeez, it was too much, got through 3 1/2 slices, the dog got half a slice and the rest went into the fridge. You did it again, Capone's, excellent, 5 stars. I'll do a build-your-own next time. WATCH THOSE CAPONE'S PIZZZAS, THEY'RE KILLERS!

Decided to try this restaurant that was around the corner from my parents. One word for the food is delicious! The soup was home made and you tasted it. I ordered the manicotti best I've ever had and I have been to many 5 star restaurants. My brother ordered the Mahi Mahi dinner was superb! Portions were very big. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great very good service.

I stopped in last Friday for a quick lunch. I had considered other local Italian restaurants, but I thought, oh, let me give it a try. I ordered chicken parmigiana from the lunch menu. I waited quite a long time and when my dish came out, it was a small salad bowl with old spaghetti on the bottom of the bowl and bits and pieces of chicken parm on top. I couldn't believe my eyes! I have never seen chicken parm served that way. It also came with a cold, rock hard garlic roll. To top it off, my bill with a soda was $17.00. I would not recommend it to anyone and will never go back.

They hung up on my friends and me twice, and when we finally got through to make an order for pick up it was difficult. GOING there to pick up the food was just as bad. They customer service is terrible, and you have to be a little aggressive to be listened to.
The food was very good though, we got a barbecue chicken pizza, chicken tenders, a burger, and a side salad. They forgot to add the sides of ranch we ordered and gave us honey mustard instead.
TLDR: Bad customer service. Good food. Check to make sure you have all the sides you ordered.

The environment feels old school, love it. The people that run the place are very italian so you get that cultural feel and vibe. I went for a slice (big square) of pizza and I was shocked at the size of it, it took over a whole food tray they give you. The cheese, meat, dough and tomato sauce were excellent, especially since it was fresh out the oven. Overall love this place.

I found Capone's Italian Pizzeria on my search for Italian food restaurants on Yelp. The restaurant is located in the Presidential Plaza along Hollywood Blvd. There were a couple of people dining at social distant tables and a few at the bar. Once I was greeted by a friendly female employee, I asked if I can dine in and was allowed to sit at an available table. I haven't had an alcoholic drink in 9 months. That ended tonight with a glass of white zinfandel wine. After overlooking the menu, I decided to have baked lasagna which comes with a house salad and a garlic roll.

I ordered a delivery big dish pizza. It came warm and nice packaged. The crust was delicious and with a great texture. All the toppings tasted fresh, the only small thing that I missed was a some more sauce. I've been trying to find a Chicago deep pizza style and this is solid option, however not as good as Giordano's or Gino's.
