Market Street Dermatology accepts the insurance carriers listed below. Please contact your insurance carrier prior to making an appointment if your insurance is not listed. Some insurance plans have narrow networks and we always recommend calling the phone number on your insurance card prior to your appointment to verify if we are in your specific network.
We started our practice because we truly believe patients deserve compassionate care from physicians dedicated to excellence and integrity. When I was in medical school and rotating through various specialties, I found myself enjoying each one better than the next. When I rotated through dermatology, I realized I'd found a field of medicine that combined so many aspects of medicine into one field.
At Market Street Dermatology, all of our care is rooted in research and cutting-edge medical technology. There are many common skin conditions and diseases that affect people of every age, race, and gender. Medical dermatology involves caring for rashes, skin growths, and chronic conditions such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis.
Acne is the most common skin condition in the United States. Although acne is typically considered a condition associated with adolescence, acne can affect both men and women throughout adulthood. Even people in middle age can develop acne for the first time. There are many available treatments for reducing and clearing acne, but the most important component of care is understanding the specific type and potential causes of your acne.
Eczema is a broad term that describes an itchy rash that can be caused by many different triggers including a genetic predisposition or environmental exposures. Atopic dermatitis is a more specific term for the type of eczema that typically begins in childhood and affects between 10-20% of the children.

If I were just reviewing the doctors or facilities it would be 5 stars. Dr. S is great and I’m so glad she was recommended to me. However, a huge part of visiting a clinic of any kind is who your first interactions are with when you get there. The woman at check in is rude EVERY time; as if it’s an inconvenience for her to check me in or answer any questions. The girl who’s usually at payment is very friendly, but why they keep the other one is beyond me. You work 4 days a week. Meditate or something. The nurses are also super condescending. Don’t talk to adults like they’re children

My experience at Market Street was wonderful at first with Dr.S as my dermatologist. My acne was under control and skin looking great. After some time the treatment wasn't working and the office began pushing very expensive products that were not part of the original treatment plan. Instead of sticking to the regular plan with a topical cream that was working but caused dry skin, Dr. S told me I had to purchase a $125 cream. It was ridiculous and out of budget for most. Watch out for pushing products from this office. It's almost like they have contracts with these skin companies.

As someone with a lot of anxiety around anything doctor or needle related, Market Street Dermatology and Dr. Kauls made my visit extremely pleasant, easy and enjoyable. Right when you walk in it feels more like a spa than a medical clinic. The staff is professional and friendly. I was brought to a sunlight office with two large windows as opposed to a small windowless dark room like most doctor offices. When I started feeling a little panicky about getting a mole removed, Dr. Kauls was very empathetic and understanding and even did breathing exercises with me during the whole thing which ended

Every doctor should practice medicine as Dr. Scheuer does! She is compassionate, friendly, reassuring, confidence-inspiring in addition to providing excellent care (as far as I can tell - I haven't had concerns beyond skin cancer exams and miscellaneous rashes). Additionally, the staff is uniformly kind and professional, and the office is beautiful, clean, and well-run. Parking is free. I highly recommend Market Street Dermatology.

I have red hair and pink skin with eczema and have had skin problems my whole life. I am also an Internal Medicine doctor. So over my lifetime I have seen many dermatologists with a variety of skills. I have discovered Dr.Kauls who is the most skilled and knowledgeable of any I have encountered. I had a very rare inflammatory skin condition that had been misdiagnosed elsewhere. With her extensive training and experience she was able to diagnose it right away and put me on effective therapy.
She and Dr Scheuer both have wonderful personalities, knowledge, and empathy. You can’t go wrong.

I've probably worked with 5-6 dermatologist in my lifetime dealing with various issues, but mainly skin damage from sun exposure and skin cancer. I chose Dr. Kauls because she was such a great listener and takes the time to analyze the issue to figure out the best treatment plan. I've been going to her for at least 15 years now, and would never consider seeing another dermatologist. It's very obvious how dedicated she is to her profession and patients. Honestly, I can't recommend her enough. I even talked my wife into switching over to her years ago, and she liked her current dermatologist but
