Combining a traditional summer camp feel with modern amenities and world-class facilities, Camp Champions consistently ranks as one of the best overnight summer camps in Texas. Whether traversing our 6-sided rock wall, tearing up the lake on waterskis, or winding down the day at Torchlight, there is no better place to facilitate your child's growth while also making friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
Our program is designed to be a BLAST for our campers, but we also want to embrace the growth opportunities of camp. The values we teach reinforce our mission of growing campers into Champions. From waterskiing to horseback riding, sports to crafts, climbing walls to archery, we have over 50 activities to challenge and delight our campers.

Services
Camp Champions opened its gates for the first time in 1967. Hondo Crouch, Darrell K Royal, Horton Nesrsta, and Pete Runnels originally founded the camp as an all-boys camp. Just three summers later, in 1970, Camp Champions opened its doors to girls. The camp had various owners and directors until Steve and Susie Baskin bought the camp in 1995.
We believe every child has an inner Champion, and we create a loving community in which every camper can flourish. Whether they realize it or not, we push every camper to grow in character skills like independence and confidence while they are at camp. And because there is an important niche in our community for every camper to fill, we are consistently told that our campers are free to discover "the best versions of themselves."
One of our joys each year is welcoming the new campers who will become part of the Camp Champions family. However, due to a high return rate and lots of interest from new families, enrollment this summer will be limited. We waitlist multiple sessions each summer, therefore we would recommend registering your child as early as possible.
Children learn from the adults around them, so we place a huge emphasis on being exceptional role models for our campers. Our counselors choose to work tirelessly to help campers grow into champions. Camp Champions counselors are held to very high standards. For example, our staff agrees to abstain from drinking alcohol for the entire time they are with us - even on their days off.
Camp activities reinforce the mission of Camp Champions, providing an interactive, outdoors (and sometimes underwater) environment to teach new skills and hone past ones. We organize activities into four different departments: Waterfront, Sports, Outdoors, and Fine Arts.
Texas is hot in the summer, and that makes us all grateful for Lake LBJ! Everyone has fun in the water-Jet Skiing, Wakeboarding, Water Skiing, Tubing, Paddle Boarding, Kayaking, Canoeing, Sailing, not to mention Swimming in our pools. Can you brave the rope sing into lake LBJ? Try two different heights from our tower at the lake!.

I recently visited Camp Champions and was amazed at all the camp has to offer. The camp is very well maintained and the communication with the staff was wonderful. The best part about the camp is the message they want all campers to leave with-they want every camper to grow into the champion they are intended to be. Very positive messages for children.

Is there medical staff? I wouldn’t know. My daughter was injured at camp and I got a text from a mom chaperone. It wasn’t until my daughter got home that I knew how serious her injury was. She ran into a metal clothesline in the dark near the bathroom and injured her mouth. Who puts up a clothesline where kids are running around? She was told she wasn’t the only child to be injured on the clothesline. We have done many camps and have never experienced this kind of negligence.

š Not a fun camp ⚠NOT for High-school age. ⚠No reply to complaint.
High School age Kids Are treated like workers not campers. They are Not allowed to do all of the fun activities. They are used as referee and rule Keepers for the younger kids who play the Spartan Trojan games. They have to clean up after the younger kids meals. They have to carry all of the younger kids luggage to and from the cabins.
ALL AGE KIDS ARE TOLD IF THEY WRITE ANYTHING NEGATIVE HOME IN A LETTER.... THE LET WILL BE THROWN AWAY!!
I called to make a complaint I was given an email. I emailed the above information

I have gone to 3 outer worldly years of camp so far I started as a letterman and now I would be in 007 but I cannot attend this year because of Covid 19. It really is so sad because I love camp and am going to miss it so much and I’m missing one of the most important years of camp. I really wish I could come but I can’t this year but camp really is so amazing and I would recommend it to anybody. I was skeptical before my first year but every doubt I had was wrong or so severely outweighed by the plethora of positives that I can’t even remember them. Camp is so much more than I could have

Camp Champions is a fabulous camp area. I wish we could have gone during the summer. The food is acceptable but it's nothing to write home about. It is a dangerous location to be in if there is severe weather in my opinion. Metal rooves and raised cabins. But it is an excellent experience if the weather is going to be good. Archery, kayaking, fishing, learning about reptiles, rock climbing, rappelling, zip lining (older kids), etc. There's always something fun going on. We look forward to coming back someday!

I went here on a school trip and it was great! The food there was top notch and made with love!
The cabins were small but comfortable, the bathrooms were ok but livable. The activities were amazing! They do ropes course, rock climbing, hiking, kayaking, reptiles, team building, fishing and fire starting classes. They also have a pool with slides and a lazy river. They also teach you how to reduce waste! They also give you break time to explore and relax! Also when going to classes you can go at your own pace. This place was an amazing escape from the real world!

I sent my 6 year old niece straight from kindergarten to Camp Champions. She did the 3 week session. She had been dealing with some fear issues and i was hoping she could conquer some of them...mainly her fear of bugs/insects while having a great time with new people. The counselors were great! She blossomed more than i had ever expected. She conquered her fears, made new friends and learned new things. Camp champions will be an every summer thing now!

Our 9 year old son just finished his second summer session (3 straight weeks of sleep-away camp in non-air conditioned cabins with no direct parental contact or tech devices allowed) at Camp Champions on Lake LBJ in Marble Falls and before we even left the property, he was asking us to sign up for next year. That right there is a glowing endorsement, folks.
As budget-minded, practical parents, it was a tough sell for us at first. This camp, while phenomenal on the surface with a long history of success since 1967 and amenities & growth experiences galore, costs almost an arm & a leg. I

I started working at Camp Champions in summer 2014 and came back to work summer 2015 and stayed to work at The Outdoor School (an outdoor education program offered during fall and spring). As a counselor and huge advocate for children to be wild and free (at the appropriate times), you get so involved with these kids in such a short period of time and before you know it you find a love in your heart you never knew existed. At camp everything we do is for the kids but its also for the counselors and leadership too. People come from all over with different backgrounds and stories and it only takes

As a parent, I felt like the communication was excellent. I enjoyed following my boys' days by looking at photos and reading the blogs. Leading up to camp, I found the website full of information. I never felt in the dark. I also like the camp director's philosophy on child rearing and the four R's. My shy boys felt happy and healthy the entire time they were camp. They really appreciated the non-ball sport options that they had at camp.

Our family loves Camp Champions! Our daughter (a first time camper) had a wonderful time during her 3 weeks there. The owners are extremely positive and welcoming. We were looking for a multi-week non-religious camp and we definitely found it in Camp Champions! As the school year goes on, she tells us more and more great stories about camp. She is excited to return next summer.

Camp Champions is our favorite camp! Our son attended in 2014 for a two week session and we all fell in love. They promote the four R's: responsibility, reasonable risks, respect, reaching out to others. They are developing independent thinking and leadership oriented youth.
They are not religious based, however the staff and most campers are highly spiritual and many faith traditions are represented. We really like the concept of not putting teenage counsellors in charge of faith development.
The camp has a plethora of activities for campers to participate in each day. It is

Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed her experience last summer in her first year of camp, and she can't wait to go back again this year. Once we met the staff and saw the facility, we had no qualms what so every about sending her off as a 6 year old for two weeks. I feel that the experiences and skills gained at Camp Champions will serve her well as she grows as a person. The staff there does an amazing of appreciating all the special things about our child that we do as parents, while also looking to help her grow in the areas in which she can improve her skill set.

My daughter is eight years old and has experienced the magic of Camp Champions for two summers. She LOVES camp, everything about it. As a parent, I love that she is becoming more confident, independent, and learning to problem solve on her own. All she sees is the fun. The counselors and management pour their hearts into their work. It is worth every dollar spent!
