Services
Christian Healthcare Centers came into existence in 2015 to provide a different approach to healthcare for both doctors and their patients. As a faith-based, not-for-profit organization operating independently from the constraints associated with traditional insurance reimbursement, CHC is free to focus exclusively on patients and their wellness-physically, spiritually, emotionally and relationally.
CHC is a community of dedicated, experienced practitioners in Grand Rapids who are among the finest medical professionals to be found anywhere in the country. Collectively, they bring many years of experience in providing high-quality healthcare to thousands of patients.
As they care for the whole person, the medical team respectfully (and without "preaching") discusses the patient's spiritual well-being, helps them set wellness goals, prays with and empowers patients to be active participants in their own healthcare decisions and outcomes.

Under many circumstances, the above procedures can be performed in our clinic as part of MemberCare. However, depending on the level of complexity, some medical conditions may require services at more specialized medical facilities. For CHC members without insurance, special rates have been negotiated for many specialty-level medical services.
A one-time enrollment fee of $50 for individual memberships and $75 for family memberships will be applied. Referrals to like-minded specialists, pre-negotiated discounted rates for many area specialists and ancillary services (surgery, labs, imaging, physical therapy, dental, vision, etc.) We Offer Services at a Lower Overall Cost than What Most People Pay with Their Traditional Insurance Deductibles.

I can’t even put into words how thankful I am that I found CHC. Dr. Rebecca Huizen is the pediatrician our family searched and prayed for. I also see Liz Huber for counseling services and I could not be more impressed. She is an incredible woman of God and has so much wisdom and guidance. Today was my first visit at Christian Healthcare Centers. My experience was hands down the best experience I have ever had in a healthcare setting. Everyone was so kind and treated me like a person that mattered... not just 'some patient'. I got the absolute honor of being a patient of Carly Thompson and my heart has never been so full. She took the time to understand my health and really made me feel welcome. She listened and HEARD me on everything I shared with her and really made me feel NOT alone. Walked out of this establishment today with the biggest smile on my face due to everyone playing

We bring our daughter to Dr Huizen at CHC and LOVE everything about it. I had been using a different pediatrician in the area at first and dreaded making appointments and hearing about how bad of a parent I was for not exactly following the CDC recommendations and for being self pay and unwilling to work with my share group. From the moment I walked in the office I KNEW they really cared about our daughter. We've been so pleased with the level of care and genuine concern at CHC and definitely appreciate the "whole person" approach, both because the doctors look at everything at once to try to determine root causes of symptoms and also because they're willing to take less "modern medicine" approaches to healing. The pediatrician even prays with us at the end of each appointment and responds by email probably faster than she should for her own work-life balance!

Christian Healthcare is like non other. The personal approach, the Christian atmosphere, and the staff are amazing. I brought my teenage daughter for her first appointment and she really liked it. She said she felt listended to and the doctor spent time explaining what was going on for her. It was not about numbers of patient contact; it was all about connecting with the patient. Thank you.
