Polk Country Animal Hospital and staff are great. Recently my 14 year old cat had breathing trouble attributed to her heart condition. It would have cost me thousands of dollars more to take her to a cardiologist but PCAH was there and drains fluids from her heart making her last days comfortable. I recommend them as your first choice in veterinary medicine!

I am not a client there but my interaction with one of your employees was wonderful. I wish I could remember her name so I could thank her properly but I do remember her bright purple hair. I had just picked up medicine from my vets office and when I got home, after looking at it, was very confused. I was unable to get ahold of anyone there so I tool a chance and called your office. She told me to come on down and even though you would be closing soon, she would wait. She came outside and went over what each medicine was for, the dosing, and tips on how to give it. She even noticed one was not

Polk County Animal Hospital has been taking care of my two dogs for three years now and we love the care we get. The veterinarians always answer my questions clearly and help me in making the best choices for my pets. When my dog hurt himself it was easy to get an appointment the next day for the doctor to look at and treat him. I highly recommend that you try Polk County Animal Hospital for the care of your pets.

These are great people who treat your pets as FAMILY!
They are COMPETANT AND CARING.....they have our full trust...
We are a Kitty loving family and have had about 10 fur babies so far.
WE have only one kitty now and she is a lovable old lady,,,,
I cannot foresee not having a kitty for the rest of our lives.

Took my elderly kitty to see the vet. The tech came out curbside and took my baby for examination, returned to tell me what was recommended for my approval. Did testing and had my baby back to within a short period of time. The vet called with test results and gave recommendation for treatment. Very happy with Polk County Animal Hospital. Very easy to work with!

Talk about a busy place, but they handle it well while still giving the best care. The employees were very friendly and Dr Adler even came out to the car and spoke to my mother to go over the exam and make sure she did not have any questions. The receptionist even gave a follow up call a few days later to make sure our kitty was doing better. Definitely using them again!

After being hospitalized at another vet and still so sick and miserable, I took him to Polk County and they examined him and did testing. Couple hours later I went to get him. The next morning the Vet called and gave me a diagnosis and discussed all the test results. We went down and picked up the meds and he started feeling better right away. Will be going here from now on. As a RN I expect a high standard of care so I'm pretty fussy and this is the place to go.
