I really wanted to like this place. There was a good selection on the Saturday morning that we stopped in and I thought that they would have a homebred taste and smell. I have to say I was disappointed.
We got a set of sticky buns with walnuts and a small cherry custard pie. I am sad to report that though they were very fresh, they were both pretty tasteless. The ingredients read and tasted very much like a commercial bakery which I guess they are but thought otherwise.

Highly unreliable!! Unfortunately this bakery decided to ship my order on the actual day that I requested to receive it for an occasion. Totally unacceptable and now the order is not even needed because it’s extremely late. I will never use this business again and I’ll be sure to leave a review on goldbelly. Absolutely terrible business practices and I’ve ordered from this place through goldbelly numerous times.

I ordered whoopie pies from McClures Bakery via Goldbelly. My husband is from PA and he LOVES whoopie pies but we live in an area where they aren't a thing and I'm too lazy to make them from scratch.
They came very well packaged and shipping was prompt! They were also very good. My husband ate one and nearly melted. Needless to say, McClures and Goldbelly came in clutch for Valentine's Day! Thank you!

These annual trips to McClure's are starting to get expensive and it bothers me.
It bothers me because what started out as a small thing has now turned into a fifteen pie (it probably could have been more like twenty but the line had to get drawn somewhere) extravaganza which has no end in sight because everyone that tries these damn shoo fly pies swoons and wants to be included on our Christmas gift/bribe list for more pie the following year.
(Full disclosure: Some people do fruit of the mouth, beer of the year, kitchen appliance of the day but we do shoo fly pie to friends/co-workers

I have never physically been here before, but my dad brings me the coconut walnut cake every time he is out-of-town anywhere remotely close to here. I am a very good baker and I can make some killer cakes, so let me tell you this place makes the absolute best coconut cake I have had in my entire life! I mean, I can't even imagine a way for it to be improved. It is a coconut walnut cake.
