I visited this restaurant one weekday afternoon and found a well established eatery that pleasantly outfitted though small. The menu was full and fun. I had the lamb with onions, peppers and tomatoes accompanied with injerra bread but also with a side of delicious collard green, which in my opinion, was the star of the meal. I also had a samosa made with beef and lentils and the crust was so beautifully flaky. I was surprised to find this restaurant but I'm glad I did. I highly recommend it.

I have eaten at this restaurant twice now. The food is excellent and the service top notch. I love Ethiopian-Eritrean food and this restaurant does an outstanding job. The owner Almaz does the cooking and the serving --chef and waitress -- giving it a home feel. She is a charming and friendly lady. She makes it a pleasure to eat there. Also the prices are slightly less than other similar restaurants in the area, which is another appeal. Once you get information over the phone on how to find her ample parking area it is a breeze to find the restaurant and conveniently sit down in the sparkling clean

I've had lots of Ethiopian and Eritrean in and around DC - even in both of those countries! This tiny place is beyond legit. Not only does it rank at the top of my list for Ethiopian/Eritrean in DC's "little Horn of Africa," but it rivals those in Addis and Asmara! I ordered the awaze tibbs, shiro beshekla, veggie combo, and sambusas. Subtle flavors of ginger, cardamom, garlic, berbera, and ample spice. Huge portions, too, and nice, lightly fermented injera. Take a chance. It's worth it!

So glad we came here. Ethiopian food. Wow. If you have not tried it, you should, and this is where you want to go. Writing this review is making me hungry and craving this food again. Flavors were very unique and delicious. Very hearty, and everything tasted home made and fresh. Not at all too spicy. Service was prompt and friendly. We were here for lunch, and the place was maybe a little less than half full. Bathrooms are clean.
