John Hernandez and Art Pierce founded Tamshell Corporation in 1980, in a small warehouse in Norwalk, California. Their goal was to manufacturer quality tight-tolerance parts, and build strong relationships, while striving for exceptional customer service. In those days, manufacturing parts on conventional Lathes and Mills wasn't easy and took a steady hand and dedication to ensure quality.

We produce an extremely wide range of custom precision machined components that are machined to our customers' specifications. Our 4th & 5th axis CNC Mills, CNC Swiss Screws, and CNC Turning machines allow us to be able to precision machine components with tight tolerances - with just about any machinable plastic or metal material.

I've been here for over 3 years now... Overall it is a VERY fast paced work environment with always a lot going on... If you enjoy fast paced work this is the place for you!
Personally think there are many long term opportunities here to learn and grow alongside the company. The owners are present and listen to their employees which I can appreciate. If you're up for the challenge they'll give you the time of day. I came from a completely different line of work and wouldn't be where I am today without the knowledge shared by everyone here at the company.

I worked with Tamshell for less than a year, despite accepting a job year here in the hopes of a long-term position. I left voluntarily for the following reasons. The despicable actions by some of the employees went unresolved by the company even though I made multiple attempts to have these issues resolved. These particular employees bullied other employees and even their customers. Some of their actions included repeatedly calling a customer a condescending name, laughing at another customer and going so far as to put him on speakerphone so they may laugh (unbeknown to him) at his Nigerian accent

I’ve never worked for a company that has made me feel as welcomed as Tamshell. Management cares about their employees, they organize fun activities (were cash prizes are awarded) , luncheons, holiday gift cards, and even celebrate the employee’s birthdays (with cupcakes/donuts). If you ask me, it’s a great work environment!

Another terrible place to work for in corona alongside its competitor hoosier machine shop. Both places are undesirable for beginner machinists and experienced alike. Nobody give these guys your business please, they're better served to not get any of it. Both of them need to reevaluate how they run things.
