Carlisle Theatre
The Carlisle Regional Performing Arts Center is proud to offer cultural events serving Carlisle & Central Pennsylvania including concerts, performances, films, live theatrical productions, and programming for children and families. Below find a listing of some of our upcoming events! No Theatre Gift Certificates, comps, or incentives are valid with these events unless otherwise noted below.

It is with a heavy heart that we tearfully say goodbye to our projectionist, Mr. Fred Wonders, who passed away this weekend after fighting a valiant battle with cancer. With over 20 years of dedicated service to the Carlisle Theatre, it is impossible to include everything this man has given us.
Services
Located in the heart of Carlisle, the historic Carlisle Theatre has been referred to as "the gem of downtown". The Carlisle Theatre is one of the principal forces behind the revitalization of downtown Carlisle. Established in 1939, renovated in 1993, we remain Carlisle's downtown source for entertainment.
The Carlisle Theatre is an Art Deco, 960 seat theatre, located in the middle of historic downtown and is accessible via car or foot. We are within walking distance of popular Pomfret Street, pubs, galleries, Dickinson College and more. We show films and provide live music and theatre and we remain a popular rental venue for special occasions.
We are pleased to share quality independent films through a streaming purchase pass. We are grateful to Neon Rated, Music Box Films and Monument Films for providing us and other quality art theaters with the opportunity to continue offering quality film to our community that cannot join us at the Theatre.
Boogieban was produced by Players on High at the Carlisle Theatre in the fall of 2019. With special arrangements with the playwright, DC Fidler, we offer this minimalistic filmed stage version* to honor our military, veterans, and those that were lost in serving our country.

In the ever-continuing effort towards Players on High at the CRPAC to better our art, environment, and world around us, we take this time to remind everyone involved in our theatre that racism and hate have no seat.We will continue this journey of inclusivity and every day learning through our casting, our seasons, our procedures, and as a whole entity both on and off stage.

It was an amazing experience! We went and saw A Christmas Carol, and it was excellently executed. We heard from friends in the play that the atmosphere was wonderful for growth and had a very supportive cast. I highly recommend!

This old theater is beautiful inside, and the decor and architecture add to its vintage appeal. The movies shown here are not first-run movies, but more of a theatrical and artistic appeal (as in arthouse films). There are also classic and educational movies shown as well. Even with 900 seats, it is hard to find a bad one! The theater is run as a non-profit, but that does not mean it doesn't need your patronage. Donations are greatly appreciated. The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars to this review is the fact that the screen is not big enough. I guess big screen showings have spoiled

Awesome local theater that shows movies I love. Even small films that are hard to find elsewhere. My only problem is that the theater is very "broken in." Some of the seats are a little busted up and it's not always the cleanest place, but all of this is worth it for the experience and the great people who work there.

Always great shows! Grew up going to this gorgeous theatre. Glad the town, keeps it alive. Check their calendar often. Some surprising acts and movies. We saw Tusk, a Fleetwood Mac cover band. Awesome show!

Great venue. Really well-maintained all around; tasteful and not absurdly ornate decorations. The acoustics were great, at least for the show that I attended. Seating was arranged well, I could see everything in spite of a really tall person sitting in front of me.

I love having a theatre in town that focuses on bringing the artistically sound movies, not the big selling blockbusters. It's a sweet place. I have also attended a few concerts here as well, though I mostly go for the movies. Supporting the Carlisle Theatre should be high on the To Do List of lovers of Carlisle.

Best in town but, overall, slim pickings. This town could sure use a decent selection of movies.
