Services
Please be ready to list any and all conflicts that are known at the time of auditions as these are the only acceptable excuses for tech week, dress rehearsals, and performances. All materials will be provided at the time of the audition to ensure a level playing field. You may be asked to work in groups or perform alone, depending on what the director would like to see.
The productions of the Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center are entirely audience-supported and volunteer-run. Without both of those things, the great theater you see today and the educational process that proceeded it in rehearsal would not be possible. Consider becoming a part of the creative magic of theater and the education of students by volunteering!
The Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center (HCPAC) is built on the efforts of our volunteers and is always looking for passionate, dedicated individuals to serve on its board committees and sub-committees. Finance Committee: The Finance Committee assists and works closely with the Treasurer and Executive Director in the management of finances.
Studies show that when students are engaged in performing arts activities like a theatrical production, drop-out rates are dramatically reduced. The Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center (HCPAC) has begun to partner with local schools and other non-profit organizations to provide performing arts activities to students that may not otherwise have the opportunity.
Thank you for your willingness to volunteer for HCPAC! We are a volunteer-driven organization, and we treasure those who are willing to give of their time and energy to help this ministry. The safety of children involved in our programs is paramount, and we want everyone to be confident in our ability to provide a safe and secure environment.

My son and I have been involved in one way or another at HCPAC since March 2021 and it has been AWESOME! The volunteers and staff are committed to the kids and youth in growing their life skills along with teaching theater. I love that my son enjoys making new friends and has a great experience with being in the plays, but on top of that I have seen the teams pour into him and the other kids! Confidence, faith, standing for what is good, having compassion and love- this is so much more than a theater- it's a ministry!

Sherry Webb is so incredibly welcoming to the students of the Vista School in our Pre- Employment Services. Our students volunteer here and complete tasks on a recurring basis. Sherry also tries to find different tasks that our students can do that allows them to try new things in a real work environment. I have been able to get to know Sherry on a personal level as well as a professional one and plan on continuing our volunteer services with her at HCPAC.

I was honored to be asked to help judge the Dancing with Our Stars event that occurred on Saturday April 10th. It was so good to see the young people having fun and interacting with each other. They were from different schools and different ages. I was blessed to see these young people be involved in an activity of good clean fun. There joy was apparent throughout the evening. I will gladly continue to support the functions and activities of HCPAC, where kids learn more than just how to participate in a show. Highspire Borough Mayor, Brenda K. Hoerner

Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center is an amazing organization. My daughter participated in their summer camps and then performed in their recent production of Oz. I appreciate that they give every student a chance to be on stage no matter their talent level, and I love that their focus is not necessarily about theater, but about the life skills and lessons that it teaches them. We can't wait to be part of another upcoming show.

We discovered HCPAC while researching summer camps for our 10 year old nephew. The 2020 summer camp was our nephew's first experience with performing arts. Needless to say, he loved every minute of camp and went on to audition for a part in the HCPAC production of OZ! Through his participation he has learned so much, not only about performing arts, but he has gained valuable life skills. He has learned the value of working together as a team towards a common goal and he has developed greater self-confidence. He looks forward to play practices and having the opportunity to interact with such great

HCPAC is a wonderful theater for kids ! The staff and volunteers are talented and inspire them to do there best on stage and in life. It is great to see children come together from different areas and perform a show that they can be proud of. Bringing Christ into a theater creates an environment where kids can be themselves and encourage each other. My daughter is so happy here, meeting new friends and being creative - she can't wait to do a summer camp. The theater has a large stage and an amazing building which is being revamped into something that will last for years to come. All good things
