I stumbled upon this new studio about two years ago when I was looking for something to keep my 3-year old occupied while his siblings were in class around the corner. He really enjoyed going to class and Master Charles is fantastic with small children, he has mastered being both fun and no-nonsense.
During the summer of Covid when I was forced to find childcare, he was one of the only studios open, and I enrolled all three of my children in his summer camp. They all loved it so much that they continued going. I watched on the sidelines for a few more months, and then took advantage of the studio

Attended a Women’s Self Defense Seminar here this past weekend (March 7th) and was really impressed with Master Charles’ extensive knowledge base on the subject. He made the group feel very comfortable with the uncomfortable reality of potentially needing to defend oneself. His over 30 years of experience in martial arts were essential to his ability to explain and breakdown concepts for those of us who are complete martial arts novices. He was able to easily answer questions, provide examples, and demonstrate the effectiveness of the skills he was teaching. I highly recommend Master Charles

This is our 2nd TWD place we have been to and by far the most professional. Master Charles is very detailed oriented but somehow doesn't frustrate the novice students! If anything his kindness motivates everyone to keep trying to be better. In this day and age recommendations mean so much and I honestly can't recommend HWMA more strongly! This is a wonderful place and Master Charles is an angel in disguise....

My 4.5 year old son started learning Taekwondo from Master Charles. It just been 2 weeks and we already feel that he making progress and behaving better at home & school. Master Charles is great instructor for kids and for adults too. I definitely believe that we made right decision by choosing Hard Work Martial Arts school for our son.

Both my son and I were students of Master Charles. As a parent, I admired how patient and kind Master Charles was with his young students. My son not only gained some very good martial arts skills, he also found the self confidence he needed to get through some rough stages of adolescence. From the perspective of an older student, I appreciated the respectful guidance and encouragement Master Charles provided, especially during some of the more challenging lessons. I highly recommend Hard work Martial Arts.
