My colleagues and I would like to introduce ourselves to you. We are Dr. David P. Bartels & Dr. Michael S. Murphy. We hope to provide quality eye care to the residents of Clarence, and Western New York, for many years to come, and we look forward to providing you with the highest quality of care. We carry a huge selection of frames and lenses. Our goal at Clarence Eye Care is to provide our patients with the most flattering eyewear. While some conditions will still require our patients to wear corrective lenses, we do use state-of-the-art procedures that treat your vision problems allowing freedom from corrective lenses.
Corneal Molding or Ortho-K is a revolutionary non-surgical procedure that eliminates the need for glasses or daytime contacts. It improves vision by gently reshaping your eyes while you sleep using specially designed therapeutic contact lenses. You just put the specially fitted lenses in at bedtime, and when you awake, you will have clear, sharp, natural vision for your waking hours.
Wave Contact Lenses are designed like no other lens. With Wave's special design software, your practitioner uses the data from the map to create a custom lens that follows almost every tiny curve and shape on your cornea. In the width of a hair, there may be as many as 10 distinct curves on the back of the lens.

From being greeted on entering the store, through pre-screening and to the final exam and consultation with Dr Murphy, everyone is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and caring. Dr Murphy patiently explained my diagnosis and how they will guide me to control my eye health. They are all about eye health and not about selling expensive eyeware!

This was the best experience I’ve had with an eye care business. The eye exam and contact lens sizing that Dr. Scaduto provided to me was exceptional. All the staff I interacted with in the office were friendly and professional. I highly recommend having your eye care needs met at the Clarence Eye Care.

I wish I could give these guys 10 stars! Dr. Murphy, Doug and the rest of the staff here are outstanding!!! They are very professional, compassionate and patient. I am a new scleral lens wearer and they went above and beyond to make my transition to these smooth. Very patient with me as I did struggle with them at first. They are very willing to answer questions (I had a lot) and quick to address any concerns you may have. Easy to make appointments. I seriously cannot say enough great things about Clarence Eye Care. Well worth my drive from West Seneca.

Dr. Murphy and all the gals in the office are awesome! They are truly there for your health and wellness. No upsells or obnoxious sales pitches on how after only a year you need new glasses. They are very generous with samples to ensure you like a product before ordering it. They’re very kind and attentive. And timely! Gotta love that! They rock!!!!! My new insurance doesn’t cover routine exams. But the customer service Dr. Murphy and his staff offer is priceless! They’re the best!

This was our first time at Clarence Eye Care after moving back to the area. From the very moment we stepped into the office the folks there were very friendly. Dr Murphy was great! Very personable. Then when searching for glasses we actually had a "fashion show" with the staff to help us decide what frame looked best on us. Such a friendly and outgoing group. Made us feel very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Dr. Murphy and staff are efficient, helpful, knowledgable and always there when you need them. This past week I scratched my eye and Dr. Murphy was right there to take care of all my needs. Eye was better in three days and I am so thankful that I have such a wonderful place to go to care for my eyes. My entire family goes there and we couldn't give him a higher rating!

The eye check up procedure is standardized and OK. However, the sales staff does a poor job in selling eye frames. I was looking for Persol frames and visited this place three times. Each time I have encountered the same lady in the sales She appears to have limited knowledge about Persol frames. When I asked whether Persol has 50mmm frames, she confidently answered Persol makes frames staring from 52mm onward.
