Questions from the doctor based on what you tell them, what they see, and what they read in your medical chart. Taking cognitive tests, such as memory tests, which can help find possible causes of your symptoms. Development of a medication plan, referral to another provider for additional treatment, such as a therapist for talk therapy, or a neuropsychiatrist for cognitive treatment.
Psychotherapy sessions are intended to help you understand how some thoughts or behaviors may be troubling, ineffective, or dangerous. Your therapist can help you develop personal goals and better habits, which can help you feel more in control of your thoughts and behavior. There are many different types of psychotherapy.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation uses short, magnetic pulses to stimulate nerve cells in the parts of the brain believed to be involved in regulating mood and emotions. The TMS system sends rapid pulses through a magnetic coil. These magnetic fields are the same type and strength as those produced by a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine used in hospitals.
Neuropsychiatry combines neurology (the health of the brain and nervous system) with psychiatry (the study and treatment of mental health and behavior). Neuropsychiatry looks at how the physical health of your brain may affect your behavior and thinking. Neuropsychiatry looks at behavioral and mental symptoms and considers whether a condition in the brain may be causing it.
Like adults, children with depression may lose interest in normal activities. If your child persistently shows less enthusiasm for games, friendships, and other interests, this may indicate depression. If your child shows depression symptoms, schedule an appointment with their pediatrician or other health provider.

Alecia Patterson is the best psychiatric service provider I have ever had. She listens, validates, and empathizes with my experiences. She demonstrates extensive knowledge and problem solving skills to ensure best practice for her patients. A doctor has never spent as much time as I needed for my concerns. In my experience with psychiatric services, my visits lasted under 10 minutes. I typically work with Alecia for 30-60 minutes depending on my needs. She truly goes above and beyond for her patients to get a comprehensive picture and really cares. I highly recommend Alecia Patterson for psychiatric

Without a doubt best mental health facility/network to be seen under. They are so friendly and helpful. I feel listened to and cared for. I feel like I have a say in my treatment and that my opinions are considered. Their network is phenomenal. I was referenced to a psychologist immediately. They consider at all for you and I hope Carolina Partners expands to a nation-wide level in size.

I sought out Carolina Partners after having a different mental health practice in the area reschedule my appointment 4 times! I'm really glad I did.

I called the intake line for CP and was set up with an appointment with Paula Sumner about 2-3 weeks later.

Paula is fantastic. Her style is personable and real - she's not afraid to crack a joke and "gets" sarcasm so you can really be yourself around her. This is a rare quality in my experience!

She approaches mental health as a collaborative process with her patients, taking time finding the right solution for each symptom
