I am a photographer based out of the Washington DC metro area. In 2008, I started the company Memories of Bliss Photography, where our primary focus was photographing weddings and families. Since then, we have expanded our range to include headshot and branding imagery. I enjoy making my clients look confident and poised while still coming across as friendly and approachable.
We make your entire experience with us seamless - starting with the booking process. If you know the type of session you prefer, the easiest way is to simply go to BOOK YOUR SESSION on our site. You will select the date and time of your session, and then get a booking confirmation to verify that you're all set!
This 15-minute session is perfect if you need one look and one image to look amazing on social media, interviews and other small applications. Proofing (in-studio) of 10-20 Images. I was in search of someone to give my family some classy Christmas pictures. So many photographers I talked to prior to finding the Spencers just didn't understand my vision. The Spencers knew exactly what I wanted. Pam Spencer set up the Christmas tree just right. She also had some great props including a sleigh, a mini-Santa clause and some ornaments to make our pictures look festive. It gave for so many great shots with my 9 month old daughter. They even found a way to make my daughter laugh. And Henry's expertise really captured our family dynamics. He made us look great! The end result was

Great experience! Very professional experience from the moment you walk in the door. I booked an appointment with Henry for a photo session to get an updated professional headshot. Henry takes the time to sit with you and understand exactly what you need. He helps guide you through the process and works hard to bring the best out of you to ensure you end up with a great photo. I started a new job and wanted to make sure I had an updated head shot. Scheduling with Henry was extremely easy and convenient via his website. Once I was onsite at the studio, Henry took time to understand what I was looking for before we got started which was reassuring. My fiance used Henry to do his head shot for work. They were together all of 15 minutes. That was plenty enough time for Henry to show his talent. My fiance's head shot was breath-taking. And it was just a head shot! It was a no-brainer to go to Henry again when my fiance was looking for someone to capture our special moment as he proposed to me in front of the Washington Monument at the Lincoln Memorial. This is quality work. I reached out to get ideas of reasonably priced photos, and while I got many replies, he included his work which is why I chose to go with him. And then wow - the quality of our photos with him. I'm no doubt getting more photos with him. We got so many good shots right off the bat I feel like was only in front of camera for less than 5 minutes and we had captured the look. I'm sure we could have gone longer, but didn't need to.

Henry Spencer can make miracles happen! My oldest son surprised me with a visit from Denver. He would only be here for 32 hours. I contacted Henry, asking for him to update my family photo with my sons. No notice, no set, just get ready go!! And go he did! He produced our pictures with stunning a background, literally in my aunt’s front yard. The results are breathtaking. I last saw my oldest son 3 years ago, so being able to update our family photos were very precious to me. Thanks Henry for a job well done, well above well done.

Henry did a great job with my social media sized picture! His studio was very cute and is located in a house on the second floor. There is parking on the side of the house in a designated parking spot. I booked my appointment completely online and showed up on the day with no problem. I will be back in the future for more photos and would recommend him to others!

I drove over 1hr to have my pictures taken at Portraits by Spencer. I wanted to make sure that it was done by someone that truly saw Photography as an art. After I saw Henry's pictures, I knew he was not just a photographer, but an Artist.
