Anxiety and related conditions are the leading source of unease and suffering that brings people to therapy. The severity and duration of anxiety can fall on a continuum from mild and quite manageable with or without psychotherapy to extreme to the point of a near total inability to function. Our brains are wired for and have evolved to perceive immediate and serious potential threats.
Anger inspires some pretty creative metaphors. It often feels like the most intense emotion we experience. We may want to yell, or throw things, or even hit someone when we feel angry. Intense anger has distinctive physical sensations: increased heart rate, an adrenaline surge, and quite literally, feeling hot under the collar.
Each one of us is involved in relationships with many people and the quality of those relationships has a tremendous impact on our physical and emotional health. Of course, we all bring to any relationship our own way of being in the world and our own self-image.
Often we seek out partners in the hope, maybe even a subconscious wish, that they can "fix" us or help us to gain the confidence and self-acceptance that, in fact, we all must find as individuals.Whether we tend to be a bit of a loner or gravitate toward crowds, the relationship patterns we form beginning at birth affect our personal connections and, in the long-term, have a tremendous impact on our satisfaction and happiness.

Life is hard. As such, it is normal and expected to feel down and dejected periodically. Our culture can imply that we should be "having fun" and "enjoying our life" all the time. In a life fully lived, with its unpredictability and range of experiences, it is unrealistic to be "happy" day in and day out, and it can be harmful to hold on to that constant appearance of "happiness" as an ideal.

They're the best -- especially Aaron. While he's not currently seeing new clients, he is a therapist first and a business owner second. I appreciate everything Aaron and the team do to ensure each interaction is friendly, communicative, and supportive. BETA's focus on professionalism, empathy, and patient-centered care comes from the top down -- from Aaron -- and it's apparent in each aspect of the work that BETA does. Everything Boston Evening Therapy Does is patient-focused, not profit-focused-- which is refreshing compared with the big "therapy" conglomerates. BETA wants to see its clients well

I started seeing Anindita in 2016, as I had been struggling with a traumatic experience for over 15 years. Based on my previous therapies, I thought that if I showed up to my sessions, talked for an hour about my experience, and continued my sessions for a period of time, I would just “feel better”. Anindita easily recognized this and changed the course of my therapy, improved my perception of my traumatic experience, and worked with me on improving all other aspects of my life. Over the months, I learned that there is no finish line in therapy. It is not a race, but rather a continual process

I am the kind of person who cannot easily connect with a therapist. I have to really believe in the person and after searching for many weeks, reading the reviews and the responses by Aaron, I was very optimistic to start with him.
I contacted their office and they (Kerry) said he is unable to see new people. After a month I contacted them again and they said he is not able to see new people “at all going forward”. After 3 months, the same response. This is very disappointing. How is someone booked for eternity, how can the coordinator even know that? What did these other people do that they

Saw Sara Payne at this practice. Very unprofessional. It doesn't seem like she knows or cares much about her clients at all. She is not very knowledgeable about her field. And she is easily distracted by surrounding environment.
Here are some examples:
1) During one session, she stopped and checked her phone because she heard a beeping sound.
2) I was constantly interrupted by her non-related and/or irrelevant questions.
3) I once asked her for insights and suggestions at the end of one session, she offered some very trivia, superficial, non-significant observations made me feel offended that

Boston Evening Therapy Associates has been a true blessing. I work a lot and am raising kids on my own. The flexibility alone that they offer schedule-wise was so hard to find. Nights...weekends..."off" hours...additionally, my personal experience with their therapists (I have worked with two) has been life-changing. (positive). I refereed a friend about 6 months ago and he is visibly doing much better...I can see it just from being around him. Lots of every qualified therapists with flexible schedules in a calming environment. Very grateful I found them.

I have seen several therapists over my lifetime. None have come even close to what Aaron Gilbert at Boston Evening Therapy has done to help me and improve my life. His kind manner made me feel like he was on my side from Day #1. His tremendous support, knowledge of psychology and human nature, insight, street smarts and professionalism combined with genuine caring make the complete package.
I never shared my innermost thoughts with anyone throughout my life. But I did with Aaron because he is so easy to talk with and is never judgmental. I can’t even imagine, nor do I want to, where I would

Annie Olinick is warm, compassionate, and very easy to talk to. As a colleague of hers, I have seen what a difference in people's lives she has made, using creative and thoughtful therapeutic methods that align with her clients' needs in the moment. Whether you are looking for help with depression, anxiety, life transitions, your relationship, or are looking for support with prenatal/postnatal issues, Annie can help support you each step of the way.

Annie is one of the best therapists I know. I could not recommend her more highly. I began working with her amidst a myriad of personal relationship and family dynamic issues. I emailed Boston Evening Therapy and within the week I had an appointment with Annie. She is kind, empathic, and patient. She always offers valuable insight and helped me to see things in a way that led me to gain confidence in myself and handling situations around me.

Sarah at Boston Evening Therapy Associates is a therapist that is smart, supportive and intuitive. We were able to get to work right away.
Sarah listened and gave me real life tools that were key components to our success. I wanted to go to therapy every week because I applied those tools she recommended with a gentleness,
that resulted in positive changes in my life. Sarah was, and is the catalyst for helping me cope better with family situations and life overall.
She helped me to recognize things about myself and others, make the adjustments, and move forward.
