Good quality, terrible service/communication and expensive.
I took in two bags to be repaired on a Monday. The first was a black clutch I was charged $20 to glue on piece of leather back down. The second was a leather tote bag and the strap had broken and needed to be fixed, I was charged for $30. I was a bit hesitant when they said they needed FULL upfront payment, not just a deposit, but did so anyway because I really wanted to use my bag again as soon as possible. She said to pick it up on Friday.
I came back on Friday and my black bag was ready (just needed glue) but my leather tote bag was

I needed 2 sliders replaced on my large samsonite suitcase. I first called ABC luggage twice around 11:30 am today and phone rang approx 15 times & went to a fax machine. I then called Bedford Shoe & Luggage Repair who quoted me $80 total for both sliders, installed. Lastly, I called Ben’s. He quoted me $24 and said he could do it while I waited. I drove there, he did the job in 20 mins and charged me ......drum roll.....$24.00.

Very disappointed in service and communication. Was told luggage wheels would be replaced in a few days. Returned in 2 week to find they didn't know where my suitcase was. When I finally discovered it, it was behind the corner of a counter where it could not be seen. It was dusty and not one moment of work had been dedicated to it. I received back the cash I had paid as they had insisted I pre-pay.. I will not return.

John the owner suggested so many things to repair the 2 Tumi suitcases. If you come here, make sure you see John. If John was here when I stopped in last week I may have given 5 stars. The week before one of his staffers helped us and he was grumpy and quoted a very high price for the repairs. Free parking behind the shop.

A jewel. Finding a place that actually does quality work, at prices that are absolutely fair AND completes the work quickly & on-time is a rare find. I had them renew two expensive, out of production leather carry on bags. Super happy.

This was my 2nd visit after the holidays I needed some more luggage. I was impressed that the store was totally renovated from the former owner. Again, they had just the size luggage I needed and high quality(with 4 wheels and extra compartments) as well as very stylish. It was a tough decision because they have such a good selection.
They also do furniture repair, upholstery, as well as shoe and luggage repair and even keys made/knife sharpening.
Service was outstanding....they were very busy but I got the luggage I wanted in a few minutes with the Owner there to help me.
Ben's is now my #1

Due to poor design, the wheels on my luggage kept disintegrating. I've had them replaced using factory-authorized replacement parts at another luggage repair store (which has apparently gone out of business) and they keep falling apart. Finally I got tired of paying so much for repeated repairs, so I decided I would do the replacing myself (standard inline skate-type wheels). However, the luggage used rivets to hold the wheel assembly in place, and after messing around for a few hours trying to drill out the rivets myself, I finally decided my time was better spent elsewhere, and took the suitcase

DISAPPOINTED!!!!!! I brought Ben a Samsonite suitcase with a broken zipper.
They said they would fix the existing zipper for $25. When I took it home it snapped off at first use. I also noticed the poor stitching execution along with the most uncomfortable zipper pull I have ever used.
When I took it back, Ben very much defended their work and blamed Samsonite for their poor "made in China" quality.
Needless to say, I was not able to get my money back.
I will never go back!
